He completed the Hifzul Qur"an at the age of 18.
In 1985 , he completed the tradition Fadil /Alim and the tradition Qira'ah course at Darul 'Ulum Falah Darain , India.
In 1995, He gained a B.A in Islamic studies at The Rand Afrikaans University in South Africa.
In 2001, he completed a B.A course in Islamic Studies at Edith Cowan University in Perth .
Over the years , Imam Imraan had distinguished himself in teaching Quran & Islamic Studies both in Australia and overseas.
He had hold Hifz classes and other Islamic Programs for Muslims students at Universities and youth camps in Australia.
Internationally, he has been the MC at two major International Conferences , and has been involved in translating the lectures of prominent Ulamas visiting South Africa from the Holy Land.
His publications among others include 2 books on Arabic Studies and a Thesis on Asma'al-Rijaal.
He has also released 2 CD's of Quranic recitals.
Imam Imraan is married and is blessed with 5 children.
He is active in sports and is a regular at the local Soccer fields.
He is multilingual ; apart from communicating well in English and Arabic . Imam Imraan speaks Urdu , Gujarati and Afrikaans fluently. He has also been heard speaking Malaysian.
In the short time that he has been here, Imam Imraam had been very busy.
His phone never stops ringing ; almost like being a doctor on call.
These are calls from both Muslims looking for spiritual guidance , as well as from non- Muslims wanting to learn more about Islam. To date alhamdulillah , more than 40 people had reverted to Islam in his time here.
Incidentally , Imam Imraan is also a Marriage Celebrant & a Justice of the Peace ( JP )
Imam Imraan is also extremely qualified in the finer points of the rulings regarding Halal and Haram products . He supervised Halal Certification at www.gchalal.com for businesses or individuals to register or have their products examined to certify conformation with Islamic Guideline for consumption or usage .
