Raditz lands in the country on farm and surprises the owner of the land. The owner, who has a power level of 5, then attempts to shoot Raditz with a rifle. Raditz catches the bullet, and flicks it back at the man, killing him. It then changes to a picture of Chichi calling for Gohan and Goku chopping down a huge tree for firewood. Chichi reminds Goku that they need to be at Master Roshi's house. (next scene)Piccolo senses Raditz and figures it can't be Goku. Raditz shows up looking for Kakarot. Piccolo tells Raditz to go away, but Raditz pushes a button on his scouter and finds out that Piccolo has a power level of 322. Piccolo gets worried and sends an energy blast at Raditz. As the dust clears, Piccolo is shocked to find Raditz unharmed. Just as Raditz is about to return the attack, his scouter picks up Goku's power level and he takes off after Goku. While he's flying after Goku, Raditz thinks about when Goku was first sent to Earth. (next scene) Since Gohan didn't come when he was called, Goku goes out to look for him before heading off to Master Roshi's. He finds Gohan hanging from a branch on the side if a cliff. Goku flies the nimbus down to him and pulls Gohan onto it. They fly off to Master Roshi's. At Master Roshi's, Bulma arrives with tea cakes. Krillin asks Bulma about Yamcha. He plays baseball and Bulma is mad at him. Just then, Goku and Gohan arrive and everyone runs out to say hi. They are all shocked to learn that Goku has a son. Bulma asks Gohan how old he is, and he tells her 5 and a half*. Goku says Chichi won't let him train Gohan because she wants him to be an orthopedist, not a fighter. Bulma and Roshi inquire about Gohan's tail and full moons, while Gohan plays rock paper scissors with a crab. Bulma notices the four star dragonball on Gohan's hat. Goku explains that he found it and put it on there to remind him of his grandfather. Krillin picks up a rock and throws it out far into the ocean. Goku picks up another rock and throws it even farther. Just then, Goku senses Raditz approaching and gets very serious. Roshi is the first one to actually see Raditz. Raditz lands and recognizes Goku. He asks what Goku has been doing all this time and why the earthlings are still alive. Krillin thinks Raditz must be mistaken and tells him to leave. As he is walking towards Raditz, he is hit with something and sent flying back through the side of Master Roshi's house. Goku notices what hit Krillin and everyone is shocked to discover that it was a tail! Raditz continues asking why the earth is still inhabited and then asks if Goku had ever hit his head. Goku says he must have because he has a scar. Master Roshi then tells goku that his grandfather was walking one day and found a baby with a tail in the woods. He said that the baby very strong for such a small child and wild, too. He was like that until one day when they were walking through the woods and the boy fell into a ravine, hit his head, and almost died. When the boy recovered, he was very sweet and polite. Raditz is disgusted that Goku was sweet and then tells him that he was born on planet Vegeta and that he is a saiyan. He also says that he is Goku's brother and tells him why he has come to Earth. Raditz explains that when a saiyan with a tail looks at a full moon, they transform into giant apes. After hearing this, Goku says that Earth is his home and he doesn't want Raditz as a brother. Raditz then explains that he can't go home because planet Vegeta was blown up by a collision with an asteroid 3* years ago. He also said that only four saiyans were gone. Raditz then asked Goku to join him and help him to exterminate the people on a planet. When Goku refruses, Raditz takes Gohan and is about to fly off when Goku tries to attack him. That fails and Goku ends up getting kneed in the stomach before Raditz flies off with Gohan.
