The RCE Situation
For the past week or so, a storm of war has been raging on the full-sized planet Rainbow Catastrophe Earth (RCE.)
First, the surprise attack of Daithis city, population or 7,500 strong, by BloodDrake. BloodDrake managed to covert Daithis city, raze it, and turn the population into a gigantic hamlet. He proceeded to convert several of Daithis hamlets. More than 10,000 souls went under BlookDrakes control.
On another part of RCE, lildude also attacked (name).
Two days ago, to manys surprise, Daithi, 1,100 soldiers on hand, traveled toward Hwarangs aggressive hamlet (of more than 2,000 peeps.) Attacked by the combined force of the attacking hamlet and BloodDrakes army, Daithi perished. Daithi, with TD cast upon himself, respawned on another part of RCE.
Daithi apparently was attacked again after coming back from the first death and lost his life for good this time. Currently, no one has claimed responsibility of his death. His hamlets are now unowned and his forum is now abandoned.
Anonymous sources revealed that lildude, and other unnamed powerful souls, are also part of a massive invasion force.
At press time, the goals of these individuals are unclear. It is also unclear whether they are working together systematically, or if each individual is working alone without a grand plan.
The Descryer staff will be monitoring the RCE Situation and bring to you any further development once information becomes available.
If you have any information regarding this matter, please send xiaomu or samildanach a telepathic message.

Being Zefiel's Assistant: An Interview with Mr. Sirius
Recently, The Descryer staff had a chance to chat with Mr. Sirius, who just got back from Tempolis after a stint of being Zefiel's Assistant. Here is the transcription of our interview:
Descryer: Mr. Sirius, we know that you became Zefiel's assistant about a month or so ago, is that correct?
Sirius: Yes, ma'am. I saw that he was advertising for assistants and thought it would be a grand opportunity to gain some experience with the ArchAngels and to learn a bit more about our universe.
Descryer: How did you go to heaven? Did you have to die or did Zefiel use some form of ArchAngel only magic?
Sirius: Well, it appears Zefiel is not as versed in the ways of our world as one might think. I had to force bolt myself to death to get to Heaven and then he guided me out of the Greyness to Tempolis. I don't know if he has some ArchAngel only magic, but he's not too keen on sharing if he does.
Descryer: How long were you in Heaven?
Sirius: Several weeks. I didn't really keep a record of how long. Probably a month and a half or so.
Descryer: Would you please describe your tasks when you were in Heaven?
Sirius: Well, when I arrived Zefiel took me to a secret area where he gave me several powers. The ability to carry souls around in Heaven, the ability to write in the Book of Names, among other things. He instructed me to help any new souls that appeared with orienting themselves to our universe, getting a name and proceeding down to Chaos.
Descryer: Did you find these tasks difficult or easy?
Sirius: They would have been easy, had the structure of Heaven not been changed so drastically. There were days when 10 or more new souls emerged from the Origin, but could not leave because of the changes to Heaven.
Descryer: Before you came back to Chaos, did you find that the changes finally became less confusing / hard for the new souls?
Sirius: Not really. Everyone that came out of the Origin seemed equally as confused. Some were able to adapt and they were sent on down to Chaos, but most eventually gave up and became dormant in the Origin. There was also an issue with people being able to incarnate in Chaos without being recorded in the Book of Names. That's a bad thing because Cimi cannot find them and thus, they cannot learn or receive SE.
Descryer: What made you decide to come back to Chaos?
Sirius: I decided to return to Chaos when I realized my efforts in Heaven were mostly in vain. Zefiel, the other assistants and I were usually asleep when new souls emerged from the Origin. By the time we had awoken, the new souls had given up trying to figure things out and became dormant. Because I realized I could not be around as much as I should, and there was no other way to make myself useful, as well as my frustration with being unable to ferry new souls down to Chaos, I informed Zefiel of my resignation and re-incarnated as a Leaf soul.
Descryer: how was it like working with Zefiel.
Sirius: Interesting, I guess. Sometimes he was quite personable, but there were other times that he wasn't able to provide as much information as I would have liked. I suppose that's just the way he is. It's interesting to note that, while in Chaos he's seen as almost a god-like figure, he doesn't consider himself to be. He's just kind of there.
Descryer: Did you gain any new insights/ understandings of the GK Universe as a whole, being Zefiel's assistant?
Sirius: Not really. I had fun for a while, but in the end, I think my time was largely unfruitful.
Descryer: Will you recommend anyone else to apply and become Zefiel's assistant?
Sirius: Actually, yes I would. While the new system in Heaven is part of the problem, another part is that there were so few assistants. Were there enough people to be available at all times, more new souls could be successfully ferried down to Chaos.
Descryer: What do you think a soul should know or should be like in order to become a successful assistant?
Sirius: I think the job caters to those who are kind, giving, understanding, patient. Patience is especially important. Some new souls need a lot of help
Descryer: Is being on for a long period of time each day also a much desirable trait?
Sirius: Yes, that too. Because new souls may emerge at any time, it's important that a person be available a lot. Of course, the more assistants, the more overlap there will be
so they won't been to be awake as much as often.
Descryer: So in short, you think that multiple persons should become Zefiel's assistants.
Sirius: Definitely. I think the job was so difficult because there were so few of us. If there were more people who could watch the Origin and could help the new souls, it would be much easier.
Descryer: What can an assistant gain in terms of tangible XPs? Extra SEs? Angelic Magic Experience leveling up?
Sirius: Nothing, so far as I know. There are abilities one can gain in Heaven only, such as carrying bodies and writing in the Book of Names, but that's it. There are no other benefits.
Descryer: Once you came down to Chaos, did you lose all those abilities?
Sirius: I'm not sure. I still bear the name Zefiel's Assistant, but I won't really know if I have
my powers unless I die again and go back to Heaven.
Descryer: Did you lose a lot of XPs/Levels by being dead and in heaven for such a long time?
Sirius: I don't think so. It would appear that experience and levels lost by death are only affect by number of deaths, not by time spent on the other side.
Descryer: Do you have anything else that you'd like to say to our readers?
Sirius: Just keep exploring our reality. There is so much to learn and so much to see; don't ever be discouraged.
Descryer: Thanks for all the great insights.
Sirius: Thank you for this interview. I enjoyed it.
Research Report
Forum Thred Title Colors,
by Samildanach, Assistant Editor of the Descryer and Occasional Researcher
Dec 1, 2005
Today Aeneas modified the YMGP Dangerous people's list, with an effect similar that can still be seen now.
I say similar because the effect is different on every forum, and, it would appear, different for every person based on their element.
Fore xample, the words "Title Colors" above would show as brown to me from the forum list (as they would on an Earth forum), but the word "Thread" would be red-brown on this Earth forum, green on Water forum, yellow on an abandoned forum, light red on a Sky forum, and a dark-greenish-brown color on Metal forum.
The research results (thanks to help from CaraKaze, Jwrtolkien, and Aeneas) show the following:
Element: Color (RGB code)
Leaf: Dark green (09.40.00)
Water: Green (36.209.00)
Earth: Reddish-Brown (220.67.00)
Sky: Red (255.34.0)
Metal: Olive-green (102.119.0)
abandoned: Yellow (238.238.0)]]
Yes, I posted RGB codes... as nerdy as that is, it seemed right because those colors often defy description.
GK Comic
by Laharl, The Descryer Resident Comic Artist
This week, a number of interesting, funny, and sometimes just downright dumb threads
were broadcast through the public forum. These were on a variety of subjects,
from Rent the Movie to Snow on the spam forums, to discussions about conflicts on RCE and the changes to GoKrida on general forums. The Descryer will take a look at the most interesting of these threads.
Undoubtably the most amusing thing that happened on the forums was a thread started by D, a player who has the rare distinction that, when players use his name, they generally don't mean him. In any event, many players saw the thread that started "Lord Garrion BACK!" (sic). Interested, many of them clicked on it, only to find that the thread had nothing to do with LordGarion (or, for that matter, backs), and was a complaint thread about GothMistress. Apparantly the former Gate Patrol leader had asked someone to raise a gate, and D had interpreted that as a "raze". D then responded to his own thread a number of times, telling the world in questionable spelling that Goth is annoying him and, in a truly brilliant logical leap, isn't even a vowel.
After a number of players pointed out that raise was not synonymous with raze, the starting thread was mysteriously editted. D then made a number of brilliant comments about assorted player's vowels. The thread then devolved into a spam-war, with comments on symo and R'hllor being thrown around. The crowning comment on that thread, however, comes from Laharl, who posted a troll form in which he told D to go play Barbie Dressup Online (tm). Perhaps instead of doing that he should spend more time paying attention during remedial english, however.
While there were a number of other interesting things, the most exciting thing that happened on the forum was the sudden appearance of Grandmother's "New Universal Public Forum". This forum mysteriously appeared on the top of the forum page on all worlds--The Descryer suspects that she cloaked the forum and charged it to the top before revealing it. While some players are concerned about the lack of a clear-cut policy, the majority seems to believe this forum will be a great thing, similar to Pak's forum of old.
The Worst Poster of the Week goes to D, for his rather unique comments on his own thread.
The Best Poster of the Week goes to Laharl, who made a hilarious post in a week with very little intelligent debate.
