Part 8
Clark awoke to a hot body pressed to his side, and his face buried in
the curve of Lex's neck. He was extremely comfortable and didn't feel
like moving at all. Lex shifted and his leg that was over his thigh
slid down against it. He pulled back enough to watch Lex's face as he
slept, and a feeling of concern filled him. He couldn't stop when
they made love, even as he felt Lex's body give out beneath him. He
hoped he hadn't pushed him to far for their first time together. He
had x-rayed Lex's body as he slept and didn't see anything
amiss...Except a lump deep within the center of Lex. He wondered
about it but pushed it out of his mind when he saw Lex stir to
wakefulness.
"Hi." Clark whispered to the beauty in his arms. Lex stared at him
for long moments, just caressing his hair languidly. Finally he found
his voice and after a broken word left his mouth he cleared his
throat and tried again.
"Hi." Much better. He couldn't really wrap himself around the mind-
bending sex that he and Clark had had. It was like nothing he had
ever experienced in his life. And nothing he knew he would experience
with anyone except Clark. 'No one I 'want' to experience with except
Clark.' He admitted to himself. There had been a connection that
filled his heart and mind with a beautiful contentment and happiness
that he had never been able to feel, much less imagine to ever feel.
Clark was hovering over him slightly with an expression of concern
warring with adoration.
"Are you alright, Lex?" Lex smiled at him brightly and laughed with
such joy that Clark's heart swelled and he made a promise to himself
to hear that sound as much as possible.
"I'm more than okay Clark...I-I love you too." Lex's voice had
lowered at those last words and Clark knew he was the only one Lex
was willing to say that to. He grinned and hugged his mate.
"Good." The phone rang and interrupted their cuddling and they both
groaned.
"Luthor." Lex answered after he climbed over Clark and picked up the
phone.
"Lex? Is Clark there with you?"
"Yes Martha he is. Is there something wrong?"
"No, no, it's just that some of his old friends are here to see him.
They drove up here just recently and they wanted to see him." Lex
sighed and put the phone against his chest kissing Clark
softly. "Your mother says some of your friends are at the farm to see
you." Clark rolled his eyes and grumbled about bad timing, before he
nodded that he would be there.
"We'll be there soon Martha."
"Okay...Lex did Clark tell you...?"
"Yes, and it's alright Martha. All is well and I promise you that I
won't tell anyone about his abilities." He heard her give a sigh of
relief.
"Thank you Lex. I'll see you soon." They hung up and he didn't move
for several minutes just staring at Clark tracing his features for a
moment.
"I guess we should shower and head back huh?" Clark looked reluctant
before Lex felt him grab and knead his ass giving him a mischievous
grin.
"I could think of things we could do that's a lot more fun." Lex
shivered at the tone of Clark's voice, and decided that he loved it.
"I don't think I can take that so soon. You really wore me out
Clark." He smirked at Clark's blush and stood up slowly, gingerly
before holding out a hand for Clark to take. "Let's get a shower."
Clark nodded and stood as well before gathering Lex up in his arms
and speeding them to the shower where he washed his love gently,
expressing his love in every one of his touches.

Jonathan watched Chloe, Pete, and Lana chat with Martha in the
livingroom. He was happy to see them all together here. It was like
old times. He was jerked out of his thoughts when they laughed and he
went out on to the porch to wait for Clark, and Lex.
He and Martha had discussed the possibilities about Clark's sexuality
and agreed that whatever Clark wanted they would try to help him deal
with it. When he had that crush on Lana while in school, they thought
that he would be like other humans. It turned out that that wasn't
the case at all today, when Lex came over... Not that he had anything
against the young man, after all they had sort of bonded, but 'Lex'?
What made his son desire him when their were other people who could
make him just as happy or happier than Lex could.
'Or maybe not.' His inner voice spoke up. Lex has been around Clark
for some time. As strange as they may appear to be to others, they
did make sense as a couple. Clark's caring and kindness balancing out
Lex's ability to be hard, and ruthless. Besides the fact that Clark
seemed to be able to completely relax around the sharp man, even more
so than around them at times. But Jon knew that had to do with the
separate eras they were brought up in.
He saw Lex's car pull into the side street leading to their house.
The car slowed to a stop in front of the porch, next to the car Chloe
drove here. Clark was out first and headed over to the driver's side
to put a hand out to help Lex up. Jon was surprised to see his hand
grasped and Lex was pulled up. Jon noted the slight stiffness in his
walk as they made their way up to him. He also saw the complete
happiness spread across Clark's features, and the surreptitious
glances Lex shot Clark's way, as well as the glow that practically
infused Lex's being. He raised an eyebrow at them and Clark blushed
brightly, while Lex gave him a cheeky grin.
"Glad you could make it. Everyone's inside waiting to see you." With
that he turned on his heel and headed inside.
All conversation stopped when they walked into the livingroom. Chloe
squealed, Pete grinned and Lana smiled in a slightly vacant way.
"Clark! Oh my God! Look at you! What happened?"
Pete chuckled at Chloe's outburst. "Yeah Clark, what happened to the
awkward teenager we all knew so well?" Lana stared Clark up and down
in appreciation. Clark looked confused and looked to Lex. He just
smiled and settled himself on the couch without giving away a thing.
He watched them and stayed silent, since he had seen them every once
in a while, when they come back to their homeland.
Unbeknownst to him, Clark had an aura of confidence and joy that
enhanced his features, and made him look extremely appealing, despite
the fact that he had just made love to the man he wanted to be with
forever. It was strong enough for the rest of them to notice and
comment on it.
As they all chatted Martha motioned him come with her. He followed
her until into the kitchen and sat carefully on one of the stools
around the island in the kitchen. Jonathan was there reading a paper
at the dining room table and pretended not to watch them.
"So Lex, what did you think when Clark told you?" She asked getting
right to the point she wanted to discuss.
"Oh not much. I had already figured out that Clark was different.
Just not how different he turned out to be." He grabbed an apple from
the fruit basket and bit into it. She finished putting dinner up and
sat down on a stool across from him. She studied him and sighed. "Did
he hurt you?"
Lex looked up at her and raised an eyebrow. "Clark would never hurt
me. He was more gentle than I've ever experienced. And to be honest
Martha you shouldn't worry too much about our relationship. I'm sure
it would only give you added stress. We're both adults, and I know
you're concerned for his safety, but he can handle himself and I
promised not to reveal his secrets to anyone. And I can handle what
he has to give."
She opened her mouth then closed it and nodded. He was right and she
knew it, so she would let it go. Her baby wasn't a baby anymore. Jon
had glanced at her from over the paper and watched her expression
become slightly sad. He got up and put a comforting hand around her
waist and they soaked up each other's strength. Lex simply smiled
softly in understanding and Martha was hit by the change she suddenly
noticed in Lex. He looked relaxed as she had ever seen him, his eyes
danced with merriment, and he seemed to shine brightly with barely
concealed contentment that anyone that knew him in the slightest
would see. They all jumped when Lex's cell went off.
"Luthor." Lex was silently listening to whatever was being said, then
he hung-up and headed towards the livingroom where Clark was. "I've
got to go." He told them, before disappearing out of the doorway.
He spoke to Clark quietly while the others were occupied with a
movie, and left afterward. His parents watched as he went outside
with Lex and kissed him gently before he drove away. It was easy to
see Clark's mood change with Lex gone. The radiating joy from him
lessened, and his walk was slow and distracted. His mother's heart
went out to him and she met him halfway to the porch. Wrapping her
son in her arms, she stroked his back and tried to cheer him up. "Lex
will be back later I'm sure Clark. Don't be upset."
He sighed and squeezed her tightly. "I know mom. It's just that I
have him now, and first the guys coming cut our time short, and now
he was called away. I just have a feeling that something is always
going to interfere with our lives." His father had come close to them
to hear their conversation and he patted Clark's back soothingly.
"Your mother and I had some rough times in our lives, as well as good
son. Every relationship has ups and downs, and yours will be no
different. Just take in the good times, and keep them close to you
through the bad ones." Clark smiled at his father's advice and nodded.
"I guess we shouldn't keep our guests in there by themselves huh?"
They headed into the house and enjoyed the time spent with friends.

"Who took these?"
"We don't know Mr. Luthor. They just arrived in a manila envelope
with a messenger. We managed to detain the messenger though." Cliff,
his security of head said.
Lex threw the photos of him and Clark kissing in his driveway onto
his desk. While it wasn't that big a deal to him, he'd rather not
have this spread out just yet. It was too new to taint with a greedy,
snooping reporter to plaster all over the place. And besides the
pictures there had been a threatening note towards Clark and his
family.
'I will make him miserable, and his parents miserable as well unless
you give me what I want. $100,000 dollars delivered to whatever
location I say. Choose carefully Luthor. The money or the happiness
of your lovers life?' He reread the message attached to an enlarged
photo of them together.
He crumpled the paper within his hand and threw it in the trash. He
was tired of people sticking their noses in his affairs, and this man
had just made a 'bad' decision.
He walked briskly to the room where the deliverer was kept. He was
sitting in a chair under a harsh light sandwiched between two beefy
security men his brown hair disheveled and his beady eyes looked back
and forth at the men in the room. He nodded to the security men and
they left. The door was closed by Cliff who stood with his back to
the door feet slightly planted apart ready to spring into action if
need be. Lex studied the trembling man before him and came to the
conclusion that he couldn't have done this.
"Who asked you to deliver the envelope? And what did he give you?"
Lex's voice was smooth and chilly as an arctic breeze. And it had the
effect that he wanted on the small man before him.
"I didn't do anything! I just wanted some cash and he offered some to
me to run up here and drop the thing off. I just wanted some cash
man! And he gave me some not to tell. You aren't going to arrest me
are you?"
"Well I don't know. You stepped on private property without being
invited. And you could have been the perpetrator of this little
stunt, and be covering for yourself." As he spoke the little man
shook his head vigorously.
"No man I didn't have anything to do with anything. I just dropped
the envelope off like he asked me! Honest!" Lex took on a soothing
tone of voice.
"Then who told you to do this? What did he look like?" The man
swallowed and looked down. Lex walked to his side and leaned to his
face. "I guess you want to go to jail then. I'll be sure to have the
guards leave you alone so you can bond with your fellow inmates. I
can make sure that when you get out your life will be nothing, and
you'll shrink into nothingness." The man was shaking and pale
whimpering no softly. " So you do want your freedom? You want to get
out of here back to your life and forget this ever happened?" At the
man's head nodding up and down Lex gave him a cold smile. "Then who
sent you?"
"It was a reporter guy! He had brown hair, brown eyes, about 5'7, and
he looked sneaky like...And smug, like he had just gotten something
he had coming to him." Lex thought briefly and went to the phone on
the desk near the door and placed a brief call. Within 5 minutes
there was a knock and Cliff opened the door to take the folder from
the person behind it. He handed it to Lex who placed the photos of
the man that he had described.
"Is this him?" The man nodded fast.
"Yeah! That's him." Lex gave him another chilling smile that he knew
he would be having nightmares about for a while.
"See? That wasn't so bad was it. Leave immediately." As he get up
shakily and headed towards the door Lex called out and stopped
him. "Next time you want money try getting a job." Another jerky nod
and he was gone. Lex was still sitting at the desk when Cliff came
in.
"You know him?" Lex asked gesturing towards the photos.
"Roger Nixon."
"Yes. I guess he got complacent in his dealings with me. Maybe he
didn't learn his lesson quite well enough the first time. It looks
like its time to remind him that messing with me is a bad idea.

Cresi was monitoring Lex's system with one of her health tracers and
it alerted her to the raise in stress and tension as well as anger.
Wondering what made him upset she shimmered into the mansion in his
office. Spotting the photos and the note she got incensed. 'How dare
someone threaten the last Kryptonian!' Quickly looking the Earth's
database she matched the handwriting with one Roger Nixon at
90.9%. 'I think its time to pay Mr. Nixon a visit. No one will harm
Kal-El under my watch.' Her tendrils circled around her and they
began to tinge a light red when the study door flew open and closed
and Lex walked in. He stopped dead at the sight of her and frowned.
"What are you doing here Cresta-Al? Why are you snooping in my
study?" His voice was angered in tone and that tripped her defense
system to come on at an accelerated rate. Her eyes narrowed
dangerously at him as her tendrils withdrew inside her, but not
before turning brilliant red. Her systems tracked him as he walked
towards her flashes on his body indicating where the pressure points
were, where incapacitating, as well as fatal blows could be dealt.
"Kal-El is in danger from one of your associates. Since you are
incapable of keeping him from harm I intend to do so."
"If you must know I plan on taking care of the matter. Don't concern
yourself. Now get out. And don't 'appear' here again or you might
find yourself scattered in several places being picked apart. The
others may trust you but I don't. Everyone has an agenda and until I
find out yours I expect you not to be within throwing distance of me."
Before he could even blink she appeared in front of him and had him
against a wall. Her internal health tracer flashed within her
alerting her that his tension went up even more, as well as signs of
human fear shooting through his system. But he showed no sign of it
outwardly, as he snarled at her. "Not showing your fear is
commendable Lex. But I know that you are afraid. Now listen to me
closely. As you are connected to Clark, and to the future of my
people, I won't hurt you. But don't threaten me little human. You
know nothing about me and what I can do. If you continue being a
nuisance to me I'll terminate your connection with Clark, and collect
what's mine before tearing you to pieces."
He laughed in her face and smirked. "You think Clark will choose you
over me? Go ahead and try bitch. Maybe then you'll disappear forever."
She smiled. Lex shivered in response. "As you wish."
