Kamal is playing a full length negative role after a long time (INDIRAN CHANDIRAN.... discounting his role in INDIAN). The film is directed by Suresh Krishna!! Sasi: Everyone was wondering as to what happened to this person who directed one of 1999s biggest hit SOLLAMALAEY. Sasi has atlast come out. He would be directing a film for Oscar films Ravichandran. The film, ROJAKOOTAM has Bhoomika (heroine in Vijay's BADRI). Music is by Bharadwaj. There is a new face as hero, Sreekanth. Additional News - There will be atleast one rose figuring somewhere or other in each scene of this movie.

Suresh Menon: is producing a horror movie with Sangeeth Sivan as director

Ezhil: The director of THULLATHA MANAMUM THULLUM and PENNIN MANATHAI THOTTU is getting ready for a Hat-Trick. His next film is POOVELLAM UN VAASAM. Ajith and Jyothika play the lead. Saayaji Shinde, who acted as Bharathiyar in the hit film BHARATHI is acting in an important role. The One Crore worth twin house setting for this movie has raised a lot of eyebrows and has created a lot of expectations. Ezhil is also directing, PASUMAI NIRAINTHA NINAIVUGAL with Jyothika as heroine.

Bala: the director of mega hit SETHU is giving finishing touches to his next film, NANDA. Surya and Laila play the lead. Rajyashree (was the heroine in Karuthamma), is acting as Surya's mother in NANDA. Cheran: His previous film VETRI KODI KATTU was an average hit and got him the National Award for the Best Social Awareness Film. What Cheran needs is another BHARATHI KANNAMA or PORKAALAM. Cheran has agreed to direct, PAANDAVAR BHOOMI for Media Dreams. Cheran who was known to have one issue or another with his producers is now producing his own film, AUTOGRAPH. Vikram is the hero. T Rajendar: is ready with SONNALTHAN KADHALA. Murali and Roja play the lead. Silambarasan is also there. As always, story, screenplay, dialogue, editing, cinematography, lyrics, music and direction is by Rajendar. He is also producing and distributing the movie. Rajendar has also sung a song. Mumtaj (introduced by Rajendar in MONISHA YEN MONALISA) is acting as "Cinenews" Shyamala. The songs are already a hit. The film is releasing in May.

Ramanarayanan: is in a major run. Every two months he brings out a new film. He is now directing SHAKALAKKA BABY. Next on line would be one movie each for producers KRG, Ramya Krishnan and Roja Combines.

DUM DUM DUM: was released for Tamil New Year. The film was produced by Manirathnam and directed by his assistant Azhagam Perumal. Madhavan and Jyothika play the lead. Music is by Karthik Raja. The movie had a lot of expectations and is doing resonably well. Meanwhile Azhagam Perumal has started concentrating on his delayed venture UDHAYAA (Vijay & Simran).

VINNUKKUM MANUKKUM: The film was directed by Erajakumaran (director of NE VARUVAI YENA). The film was released during the last week of March and has suddenly recieved a lot of attention after Devayani's marriage with the director, Erajakumaran. The movie has three directors, Vikraman, Ramesh Kanna and Agathiyan acting in the film.

MEDIA DREAMS: belongs to the Pentamedia group and has Sujatha (writer) as its managing director. They have suddenly started pumping in a lot of movies which has helped the tamil film industry to a great extent. BHARATHI, NILA KALAM, PANDAVAS(English), LITTLE JOHN, PAMMAL K SAMBANDAM(Kamal), PANDAVAR BHOOMI(Cheran)... are all Media Dream productions. Talks are on for a few more films, including the one titled, ENJOY.
