Dragonballz budokai 2 review
Years ago a show with action and drama was born in japan.  It became a mega hit show which spawned up to ten movies and several video games.  This show called Dragonballz made its way to the U.S. and has a large following.  Now we are receiving games that bring us closer to are favorite dbz characters.  One game in 2003 which became a huge hit which surprised Inforgrames (now Atari).  With the succes of the first ps2 dbz fighter their is now a sequel  is more or less like the first one.
Now we have dbz budokai 2 in are hands and I am wondering did dimps even try to make it different?  Most of the same music and animation is from the first one.  Although I will admit that the graphics are what really make this game a winner.  It actually looks like the show especially the big "ki" energy attacks.  The stages however, could have been a little bit more creative.  They did make the stages more "lively" but it still is dull when compared to fighters such as soul calibur 2.
The music in this game is mostly from the first one.  Some of the tunes are catchy like the hyperbolic time chamber music.  Atari managed to get the real voice actors to do voice work for this game and they did a great job.  It might possible be the best voice acting you will hear in  a fighting game and, it takes away the dullness of the figthging a bit.
If this game came out lets say two years ago it could be game of the year.  But it lacks longetivity although, they added in enough extras to take a full year to complete it.  With this said I suggest giving this game a rental.

Score: 4.0
Dragonballz budokai 2 does a great job of looking like the anime.
You can even be ssj3 in this one.
