| Long ago Square released a game that came with a demo of the highly anticipated Final Fantasy 8. For that reason some people may have purchased the game. While others purchased it for a unique action rpg experience unlike any other. You play as a boy named Mushashi who is summoned to save the allucaneet kingdom (there is alot of food references in this game) from the mighty Thristquencher Empire. As Mushashi you will slash, combo, jump, walk, run, and smack talk to defeat the thristquencher empire. The game itself plays pretty well and it has a unique graphic style. Cutscenes use comic book bubbles so you can read along with whats going on. I thought that was nice touch since many games don't do that. The voice acting is pretty well done by video game standards. The combat in this game is slightly good. Mushashi can learn new combos but you will end up using the same combo throughout the game. So it will feel like you are doing the same thing over and over since enemies reappear in a room that you leave. But hey you could always just absorb them into one of Musashi's swords. As for the games length it could take a really good gamer 10 hours to complete the whole thing which is not to bad. Plus there is many other things you can do besides the main quest. This really is a classic and I am glad that it is getting a sequel on the ps2. Check this game out if you like rpgs in general. | ||||||||||||||
