Is 50's new cd better then "Get Rich Or Die Trying?"

If you ask a child who their favorite rapper is the will say 50 Cent.  If you walk into a teenagers room you might see a 50 Cent poster.  If you go anywhere you may see someone wearing G-Unit sneakers.  You're probably asking yourself when will I get to the point.  My point is that 50 Cent has become a household name.  His previous cd sold over 11 million copies.  That is pretty good for a debut cd and the songs weren't half bad.  There was a lot of hype surrounding 50's new cd titled "The Massacre."  But with so much hype, I wondered if his new cd would be any good.

50's new cd has 22 tracks on it.  Some of which, are actually pretty good.  But what does that say for the rest of the cd?  Well, some of the songs seemed like they were put on to fill up space.  Songs like "Gatman & Robin" for example are really boring.  Other likes "The Ski Mask Way and Guns Come Out" are really cliche on a rap cd.  There are other songs where 50 tries to be like Eminem.  Actually there is one song on there that is based off of one of Eminem's latest songs.  That song is called "My Toy Soilder" which is 50's verison of "Like Toy Soilder's."  Sadly, since the situation with Eminem is more personal this song just doesn't live up to the original.  It is the most dissappointing song on the album.  He has this other song called "Piggy Bank" which I am sure everyone has heard of by now.  That song was made to diss Nas, Fat Joe, and Jadakiss for what seems no reason.  The whole diss seems unprovoked and makes 50 look like the bad guy.  However, I am sure most people will like that song.  There is this other song titled "Baltimore Love Thing" in which, 50 Cent uses personafication to tell the story between drugs and rock stars.  It is one of the more interesting songs and I happen to like it.  There are other pretty good songs on this cd like "Candy Shop, Disco Inferno, I'm suppose to Die Tonight, Just a Lil Bit, God Gave Me Style, and Hate It Or Love It (G-Unit Remix)."

In conclusion, 50's new album is a bit of let down.  There are to many lackluster songs on this album and is no where as good as the previous cd.  If you do decide to buy this album I suggest listening to it at a friends house first before you purchase.
