Saiyan Saga

The Saiyan Saga begins when an alien lands on Earth. At the time Goku and his son Gohan are at a party at Master Roshi's Turtle House. The alien crashes the party and introduces himself as Raditz, Goku's older brother. Raditz tells Goku that he is a Saiyan from the planet Vegeta, and that his real name is Kakarotto. Raditz kidnaps Gohan and tells Goku to exterminate 10 species on the planet within 24 hours. Goku eventually teams up with Piccolo, his once arch enemy, and together the find Raditz, with the help of Bulma's Dragon Radar. The battle begins, but the two of them are no match for Raditz. Their only chance of victory is Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon. Goku gets thoroghly beaten up, while Piccolo loses his arm. Raditz finds this very amusing. At the sight of his father getting beaten, Gohan's power explodes, and he manages to weaken Raditz by head-butting him in the chest. Unfortunately, this left the little warrior completely out of energy. This allowed Goku to hold Raditz in place while Piccolo blasted the two of them. As Raditz died he told the two of them that two more Saiyans were coming, and that they were even stronger than he was, and that even if he was dying, so was Goku. So Piccolo told him all about the Dragon Balls. Then Raditz let Piccolo in on his little secret, that the scouter he had over his eye could also be used as a communicator. Angry at what Raditz had just told him, Piccolo killed him. Krillin, Bulma and Master Roshi show up in time to watch Goku fade into another dimension. Piccolo, meanwhile regenerates his arm and tells the others that he is taking Gohan for special training to prepare for the arrival of the Saiyans, 1 year from then. With that he flies off with Gohan under his arm. In the other dimension Goku gets special permission from King Yemma to travel along Snake Way and try to get to King Kai's for special training. Back on Earth, the worlds most powerful fighters, Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, Choutsou, and Yajerobi, later known as Earth's Special Forces, gathered on Kami's Lookout to recieve special training. While the Earth's Special Forces Train, the Saiyans continue their journey to Earth in order to get the Dragon Balls, and wish for immortallity. One year after Raditz showed up, 2 more Saiyans show up, Nappa and Vegeta. These two Saiyans are very cocky and are sure that they can't be beaten. After training on King Kai's planet, Goku is wished back, but it will take him 3 days to travel back along Snake Way. The Saiyans, in order to amuse themselves, plant Siabamen for the Earth's Special Forces to fight. One of the Siabamen explodes itself and kills Yamcha. Krillin, enraged by the loss of his friend kills the rest of the Siabamen. One by one the members of Earth's Special Forces attempt to take on Nappa, while Vegeta watches. After valient attempts to kill him, Choutsou, and Tien are sent to another dimension. After Vegeta hears that Goku is on the way, he decides to stop the battle and wait for 3 hours, for Goku to show up. After 3 hours, Nappa continues his assault. Piccolo defends Gohan from a fatal blast and gets sent to another dimension. Just as Nappa is about to dispose of Gohan, Goku shows up and saves him. After a brief fight, Vegeta tells Nappa to stop because he's to weak. So Nappa decides to fight Krillin and Gohan. Goku saves them by breaking Nappa's back. Vegeta, annoyed at his partners failure, kills Nappa. A fierce battle begins between Vegeta and Goku. Vegeta is forced to transform, into his Oozaru (giant ape) form. Goku tries to hit him with a spirit bomb, but loses most of the energy. Yajerobi sneaks up behind Vegeta and cuts off his tail. Gohan takes on the task of fighting him, while Goku gives Krillin whats left of the energy for the spirit bomb. Krillin throw the spirit bomb at Vegeta, but misses, Gohan bounces it back, and it hits it's target. Unfortunately, it's not enough and Vegeta comes back with a vengence. Gohan's tail grows back and he transforms into his Oozaru form. Vegeta cuts off his tail, but Gohan crushes him as they both fall to the ground. Battered and beaten, Vegeta leaves the planet, vowing revenge. The Earth is at peace once more.
