A Forbidden Past - Chapter 15
Revelations
The android stared at the sky as the smoke began to drift in the wind. He watched as small mechanical pieces rained onto the ground infront of him. #17 bent down to the ground and picked up what was left of #18's belt buckle. He studied it intensly as he held it in his hands. He slipped it into his pocket and began to walk off into the forest.
"Where do you think you're going?" Trunks yelled at the android.
"This battle isn't over. I will return to destroy you and the girl," he said as he continued to walk into the forest. Trunks relaxed, as he returned to his normal state. He looked around the park to see the scars left by the battle. He shook his head and took off into the sky to find Stacie and Heather.

Heather put Stacie down onto her bed and wiped her forehead with a wet cloth. "Stacie, please open your eyes," she muttered as she rubbed her skin with the cloth. "I hope Trunks is doing alright," Heather thought to herself.
Trunks looked for the capsule car, and found it parked at Stacie's house. He ran into the house and frantically searched for Stacie and Heather. "Stacie? Heather?" he yelled up the stairs.
"I'm here!" Heather yelled. Trunks sprinted up the stairs and into Stacie's bedroom.
"Is she awake?" Trunks asked as he looked over the girl.
"No, she hasn't moved since I brought her back here. She is breathing though, so at least she's still alive," Heather sighed. "Let me look at your shoulder," she told Trunks as she could see his jacket was ripped, and shoulder exposed.
Trunks sat down on the end of Stacie's bed and removed his jacket. Heather grabbed cotton swab, and cleaned up the blood, which had dripped down his arm a bit. He flinched, as he was obviously in pain.
"Sorry," Heather quickly apologized.
"Don't worry about it," he smiled.
"No, about everything. I didn't think someone would actually be interested in a girl like Stacie, but I'll admit, I was wrong. I never noticed how much she actually cares for people, especially you and how much you care for her. I acted out of jealousy. Sorry," she apologized again.
"Umm, wow. It takes a lot of guts to admit something like that," Trunks told Heather. "I appreciate it," he smiled. "Friends?" he stuck his hand out.
"Friends," she replied, shaking hands. She stuck a bandage around his arm and pinned it together. "All done!" she announced.
"Thank you," he said as he slowly rotated his arm. "I managed to defeat one of the androids, but we still have one to deal with."
"Well, I guess that is good news. But what about Stacie? Is the remaining android still going to go after her?" Heather asked.
"#17? Probably. He's the one who attacked you and Stacie before. So its likely that he will attack her again," he sighed as he looked over the girl in the bed.
"What can we do about her condition at the moment? If #17, or whatever, attacks again, she'll die won't she?"
Trunks thought for a moment. "I know!" he yelled as he dashed out of the stairs and out to the back yard.
"Where are you going?" Heather yelled. Before she could finish her sentence, Trunks was back in the bed room with a small bag in his hands. "What are those?" Heather asked.
"These are Senzu Beans."
"Beans? What? Are you going to give her gas or something?"
Trunks laughed. "No, these are special beans. They have incredible healing power when eaten. It can heal anyone, as long as they aren't dead. She should be ok once we get her to eat one of these." He placed the smallest bean he could find in her mouth, hoping she wouldn't choke. He moved her jaw, making the chewing motion, and hoped she would swallow the bean without a problem. Stacie immediately shot up in bed scaring Heather.
"Whoa! Those really do work?" Heather said looking at Stacie.
"What?" she asked.
"Senzu beans," Trunks said holding the bag in his hands.
Stacie looked at the small bag and smiled. "Thank you," she said. "Both of you."
"Hey, what are friends for?" Heather smiled. "Trunks managed to destroy one of the androids..."
"But I didn't get the other," Trunks said clenching his fist.
"Well, if you got one of them, it should be easy to get the other. Which one did you destroy?"
"#18."
"Good, but I guess #17 is still going to be hunting me down, isn't he?" she sighed.
"Probably, until we managed to defeat him, or he wins," he replied.
"But you won't let that happen right?" Heather asked
. "Of course not," he smiled.
"I still don't understand. Why does all this have to happen to me? Why not someone else?" she cried. "I mean, the ridiculing at school was tolerable, but having someone wanting to kill me for no reason? Come on! This is ridiculous!"
"Stacie, we're going through this together," Trunks said. "I will be here when you need me."
"And what about after you leave?"
Trunks started to say something, but stopped himself. "I don't know if I will remember you after I leave," he thought to himself. "If I change the past, will these events ever of happened?" he thought.
"Well, Trunks?" Stacie sobbed.
"I will still be here when you need me," he smiled. He hated to lie, but he didn't want to upset Stacie. "I will come back and visit you once my task in the past is done."
"Aww, isn't that sweet?" Heather said.
"Well, I feel as good as new!" Stacie said as she jumped out of bed. "Let's go kick some android ass!"
"Not yet," Trunks said, putting his hand up.
"Huh? Why?" Stacie asked.
"We need a plan, plus you should still rest. We should let a couple days go by before we plan anything. #17 has an unlimited energy supply, while I don't. A Senzu bean may help, but physical rest is still the best."

The next couple days went by without problems. Trunks, Stacie, and Heather started to make plans as to how to combat the android.
"How are we going to find him?" Heather asked.
"I'm not sure. He only seems to appear when Stacie is alone, so, we need to set a trap, with the right bait," Trunks said looking at Stacie.
"BAIT? Must you call me that? I have a name ya know!" she laughed. "As long as you are close by Trunks, I don't have any problem being the.. uh... bait."
"Where are we going to do this?" Heather asked.
"I think we should do it in the school yard. Its a large open space, where there shouldn't be too many people around. We can take the capsule car there, and just wait for the moment to arrive," said Stacie.
"Okay then. To the capsule car!" Trunks ordered. Heather took off down the stairs, and Trunks began to follow until Stacie pulled him back. "Something wrong?" he asked.
"I'm... I'm sorry.. I over reacted. I... I shouldn't have been all over you, and even worse, I shouldn't of stormed out the way I did. Thank you for rescuing me also. I put you into danger and you got hurt, all because of me," she said looking at his cut shoulder.
"Well, you are worth it," he smiled. "Don't worry about my shoulder, its nothing. I've gone through worse. I told you before, I'm here for you and only you."
"Oh Trunks," she cried as she wrapped her arms around his torso. "Now.. let's go get #17!" Stacie said as she started to head down the stairs.
"One more thing Stace," Trunks called her back.
"What's that?" she asked. Trunks leaned over and kissed Stacie lightly on the lips.
"That's for good luck," he said, winking at her.
Stacie's eyes sparkled as she looked at Trunks. "Good luck..." she repeated softly.
