A Forbidden Past - Chapter 13
Desperate Times

"Angela, NO!" Heather cried as she watched her friend's body sink below the surface. "How could you do that? What did she do to you?" Heather yelled at the android. #18 simply ignored Heather and turned her attention to Stacie.

"Heather, go and get Trunks!" Stacie yelled.

"But? What about you?"

"Don't worry about me! Just go!" Heather paused for a moment as she looked at Stacie before she ran to go and find Trunks.

Stacie looked out into the now quiet pond to see if there was any signs of life from Angela, who had slipped below the surface. "Why did you kill her? Was she a saiyajin as well?" she shouted at the androids.

"She was interfering with our plans so she had to be eliminated," #18 replied.

"So thats what you do? Just kill them?" Stacie said, hoping to stall the androids as much as possible until Trunks arrived. She took a step back to keep as much distance as possible between them, but as she did, she bumped into #17 who was now standing behind her. Stacie gasped as the android laughed at her.

"Fear is such a vulnerable emotion. Its like a toy for us to play with," he smiled as Stacie trembled.

"Trunks... hurry up!" Stacie thought to herself.

"What should we do about the other girl?" Juuhachigou asked.

"Don't worry about her. By the time she finds the saiyajin, this one will be dead. He'll simply give up!" #17 laughed. Stacie started to cry and fell to the ground.

"Aww look, the little saiyajin is crying!" #18 said.

"I told you before, I'm not a saiyajin! she cried. "How can I prove to you I'm not a saiyajin?"

The two androids looked at each other as they decided what to do. Suddenly, #17 picked up Stacie from behind and carried her high into the sky. "Now, lets find out if you truly are a saiyajin or not," he said.

"What? HOW?" she yelled as her feet dangled below her.

"I'm going to drop you. If you are a true saiyajin, you get to fly away until we catch you. If you aren't a saiyajin, you die. Simple," he laughed.

"NO WAIT! THAT'S NOT FAIR!" she screamed.

"Oh well," he said as he let go of Stacie. Stacie shrieked as she fell to the ground below. Juunanagou flew down beside Stacie as she fell to the ground. "So? What are you waiting for? Fly away little saiyajin!" he laughed.

"I told you! I am NOT a saiyajin! Don't you think I'd at least fight back? If I was a saiyajin, it'd be in my blood to be a fighter! Do I look like a fighter? NO!" she yelled as the ground got closer. #17 stared at Stacie for a moment, thinking of what she had just said. Suddenly, Juunanagou reached under Stacie's arms, and pulled her upright. He hovered above the trees as he held her forcefully. "Thanks," she said as she looked at the ground below.

#17 remained emotionless as he stared at Stacie. "Don't ever expect me to do anything nice for you again," he sneered. He quickly flew towards the ground and let go of Stacie. She hit the ground hard and rolled along until she banged into a tree.

"Hey! Why did you stop her?" Juuhachigou asked her twin.

"She isn't a saiyajin. She doesn't have the fighting instincts a saiyajin would," he replied.

"So now what are we going to do with her?"

"We could still kill her, and then kill the saiyajin, once he arrives. Or we could just leave her here, and play more mind games with her later," he laughed.

"Well, I want to have a little fun with her! It seems its always you who gets to play!" #18 said as she started to walk towards Stacie, who was still lying on the ground. "Even though you might not be a saiyajin, you must have some fighting abilities! Let's see them!"

Stacie groaned as she hit the tree pretty hard. She pushed her body up with her arms, but fell back down as her left wrist gave out on her. She screamed in pain as the female android laughed at her.

"So? Come on! Do something!" #18 yelled at her. She kicked Stacie hard in the stomach, knocking the wind out of her. "Don't be a wimp!" she shouted as she kicked her again.

"Please! Stop it!" she cried as held her stomach tightly.

"Why? Aren't you having fun?"

"No, I'm not! This isn't a game! I'm not some toy for your amusement! Just leave me alone before you make Trunks mad!"

"Oh no! A mad saiyajin! What are we going to do?" #17 laughed.

"He's going to kick your ass!" Stacie screamed at them.

"Oh is he? That's funny!" #18 laughed.

Stacie stood up and leaned against the tree for support. Juuhachigou was standing about 5 feet infront of her while Juunanagou was leaning against a tree to the right of Stacie, about 10 feet away. "Do I risk running away, or do I let them beat me up some more?" she thought to herself. "Heather, hurry up!" she sighed as she put her head down.

"Stupid girl. What type of friend doesn't even come to help you? The other one was smart, she at least ran away. Some friends you have," #17 laughed. #18 started laughing as well.

"Now's my chance!" Stacie thought. She took one step to the left shifted all her weight onto that foot. Immediately the androids turned their attention to her. They both started to move left towards Stacie, but she dove to the ground to the right between the androids. Both #17 and #18 dove to her, but not paying attention to each other, they collided.

"Watch it!"

"Hey! Why don't you watch where you're going next time?" #17 yelled back at his twin.

"Why do you always get to have all the fun?" she yelled back at him.

"Perfect! Now's my chance!" Stacie said as she ran towards the forest still hearing the two androids fighting behind her. She managed to make it to the forest without hinderance. She hid among some trees at looked back towards the pond. The androids were no longer there, and she assumed, persuing her. "I hope my power level isn't high. It can't be." Stacie looked around the ground and sat down, trying to keep herself as hidden as possible. She kneel down behind some bushes, but still remained close to the large tree. There was almost no sound. She found her own breathing almost deafening. She looked up at a clearing in the trees to see Trunks flying across the sky holding Heather.

"Why'd he bring her along? She's only going to get in danger," Stacie thought to herself. "Well, I guess she had to tell Trunks where to go," she concluded. Trunks and Heather landed over by the tree where Stacie was crying earlier.

"Oh no! This is where I left her earlier with the androids. I don't know where she is now! Is she dead?" Heather started to panic.

"Calm down! Stacie is a strong person. I know she would hold out. She's just hiding for her safety," Trunks said.

"I hope you are right," she sighed. "Stacie? Where are you?"

"I don't see her anywhere."

"Should we split up and look for her?" Heather asked.

"No, I think she is probably nearby, and will come out once she hears our voices."

"Oh, okay."

Stacie stood up against the tree and looked for any sign of the androids. Once she felt the coast was clear, she came out of the forest and walked towards Trunks and Heather. "Geez! It took you two long enough to get back here!" she shouted across the park.

"STACIE!" both Trunks and Heather yelled.

"Is there any sign from Angela?" Heather asked.

"No, sorry," she said putting her head down.

"So? What are you waiting for Stace? Get over here!" Trunks yelled to her.

"Okay," she sighed as she started to walk across the park. She stumbled on her feet as one of her shoelaces was untied. "Argh," she shouted in frustration. As she was tying her shoe, she heard Heather yell her name.

"Just a minute!" she shouted back as she continued to struggle with the laces.v "STACIE!" Trunks now yelled at her.

"WHAT IS IT?" Stacie shouted as she stood up. Android #17 was standing about 10 feet infront of her.

"Gotcha!" she heard someone say from behind her. She glanced over her shoulder to see #18 behind her.

"TRUNKS! DO SOME-" she screamed but it was too late. Both androids dashed towards her, #17 hitting her front right side, #18 hitting her back left side as they flew by. Stacie spun around from the force of the hits. She started to fall to the ground, but the androids flew by again and hit her sides. Stacie screamed in pain, as she was already sore from being kicked earlier. A third time, the androids darted towards her, both punching Stacie's sides as the flew by. #18 stopped behind Stacie, and kicked her legs out from underneath her, sending Stacie hard to the ground. She landed on her back and lay motionless on the ground.
