A Forbidden Past - Chapter 11
Attack in the Dark

It was late in the night when Stacie awoke to hear a window breaking downstairs. She looked over to see Trunks fast asleep. Stacie slowly crawled out of bed and opened the door peering downstairs. She couldn't hear anything except her own breathing. She slowly crept down the stairs and into her family room. She picked up a large poker from the fireplace and held it tightly in her hands. She next made her way to the kitchen where she grabbed a flash light. She looked around the rooms of her house, but could not see a broken window anywhere. "What the hell was that noise then?" she thought to herself. "Oh geez! Maybe it was another basement window!" Stacie opened the door to the basement and slowly slid along the wall. She saw the plastic cover remained covering the window which was broken from the storm the night before. She continued to walk around the basement when she stepped on a piece of glass. "OW SHIT!" she said as she hopped off the glass on the floor. She looked up to see another broken window. She hopped over to the spare bedroom to look at her foot. "Damnit, thats gonna hurt for a while!" she said as a trickle of blood dripped out of her foot. She grabbed a tissue and cleaned up the blood. She began to walk out of the bedroom when she heard voices

"Where did she go?" a female voice asked.

"I think she went into this room. This should be no problem. I'll handle it, you go wait outside. I want a little payback," a male voice replied.

Stacie immediately recognized the voices as that of the androids. Stacie gasped as she quickly pinned her back against the wall adjacent to the door. She tightened her grip on the poker as footsteps came closer to the bedroom. As she lay against the wall, the door was to her left. The instant #17 walked through the door, Stacie swung the poker with all her might directly at the face of Juunanagou. He stuck his hand up and stopped it with ease. Stacie gasped as the android pulled the poker from her hands while she dropped the flash light on the floor.

"That wasn't a very nice thing to do," he said as he held the poker. He tossed it in the air so he now had the handle in his hands. He held it in his right hand as he tightened his grip around it. He swung the poker at Stacie's stomach. Stacie dropped to the floor as the poker whizzed over her head. She kneeled on the floor, back still against the wall, panting. The poker had swung clear through the wall leaving a large hole. Stacie put her hand on the floor and grabbed the flash light. She turned the flash light off so the entire room went dark. She heard the poker drop to the floor as #17 searched for her. She crawled along the floor and ended up between the bed and night table. She looked up from the floor and turned on the flash light to find herself face to face with the android. "Do you think a little darkness is going to help you?" he smirked as he glared at Stacie.

"What do you want from me?" she cried.

"Simple, our new goal is to destroy all saiyajins. You and Trunks being the only saiyajins in the world, we must destroy you. You will be easier to kill than Trunks, but once you are dead, he will simply surrender," he laughed.

"Me? I'm not a saiyajin! Its not possible!" Stacie said in shock.

"Then why do you wear their logo?" he asked.

"Logo? What logo?"

"The C logo!" he yelled, beginning to become annoyed with her questions.

"Capsule Corp? No, you don't understand, I'm not a saiyajin!"

"Why should I believe you? Stupid saiyajin, prepare to die!" he grinned. He grabbed the flash light from Stacie's hand and crushed it. Stacie knew she only had one chance. She ducked and hurried under the bed. She could feel the footsteps of the android as they paced around the bed. She positioned herself onto her back so she could pull on the bed posts and hopefully slide out the room.

"Okay," she thought to herself. "I can do this. 1, 2, 3!" She pushed with her feet and pulled with her hands as she slid out from under the bed and towards the door. She passed the poker on her way out and grabbed it. Once she had managed to slide out of the room, she stood up, and began to slowly back away from the dark bedroom. She was afraid to turn her back to the dark room, not knowing if the android would notice her. She continued to back away. She nudged the laundry machine with her hand and she lost grip on the poker as it dropped to the floor. Immediately, #17 shot out of the bedroom flying through the air at Stacie. He caught her by the neck, and continued through the air until he slammed her into a wall. Stacie yelped as her neck was already sore from her previous encounters.

"STACIE?" Stacie made eye contact #17 who put his finger over her lips. "STACIE? Are you alright?" she heard Trunks yell. She wanted to call out to him, but feared for her life. She could hear the footsteps coming from the top floor to the main floor. Juunanagou knew Trunks was getting closer and thought he'd better make a hasty retreat. He winked at Stacie as he let her drop to the floor. He quickly made his way out of the basement and away from the house. Stacie gasped as she was once again, free.

"Trunks! I'm down here!" she called out to him.

"What happened? Are you alright?" he said as he came running downstairs.

"The androids broke into the house through another window!" she cried as Trunks hugged her.

"What did they want this time?"

"Well, I found out why they are after me. They think I'm a saiyajin!" she said.

"That's why they are after you? You're not the saiyajin, I am! Why haven't they attacked me?" he asked.

"They think if they can kill me first, you will surrender." Trunks picked Stacie off of the ground and carried her upstairs.

"They won't kill you, because I will be here protecting you!" he said as he layed her down on the bed. Stacie sighed as she was very tired.

"Thank you," she smiled. Trunks jumped into the bed beside her. She crawled over to rest her head on his chest again, and fell asleep immediately.

The next morning, Trunks woke up first. He still had Stacie sleeping on his chest, so he didn't move, fearing he would wake her up. He sighed as he caressed her head in his hand. "I feel so sorry I have to put you through all of this," he said to himself. Trunks lied awake in the bed for about 15 minutes.

"How long were you planning to stay in bed?" Stacie asked him.

"Oh. How long have you been awake for?" he asked her.

"I just woke up now," she said rubbing her eyes. "Do you really think I'm a saiyajin? It can't be possible. You were the only saiyajin left when you left your time, so unless you did a little adventuring while travelling through time, I'm not a saiyajin."

"No, I think the androids are just confused. They have been inactive for almost 1000 years now, so its likely that they are having a little problem with their circuitry."

Stacie sighed. "I should go into the hot tub and relax a bit. I have been pretty beat up over the last couple days. Care to join me?" she asked.

"Sure. Sounds like fun," he said as he jumped out of bed.

"Well, if you're going to go in, you need a bathing suit," Stacie smiled as she ran to her mother's bedroom. She raided the closet as a frenzy of clothes came flying out. "Ah, here we go," she said as she came out holding a pair of hawaiian shorts.

"What is with your mom and these odd colors and patterns?" Trunks asked as he held the light blue shorts in his hands.

Stacie laughed as she ran back into her room. She grabbed a bikini from her closet and took off downstairs with Trunks following her. She walked into the large room where there was a hot tub, sauna, and shower. Trunks followed her in but she turned around and pushed him out. "Nope, you have to stay out for now! I need to shower and put my bathing suit on," she said as she closed the door. "You can change in the bathroom upstairs!" she yelled through the door as she turned the shower on. Trunks sighed as he walked back upstairs and quickly changed into the blue bathing suit. He came back downstairs and knocked on the door.

"You can come in!" he heard Stacie yell. He walked into the room to find Stacie already in the hot tub. "Wow, those shorts look good on you," she smiled as she looked at him.

"Thanks!" he said as he jumped into the shower. Stacie stared at the shower as she could faintly see through the blurry glass.

"Mmmm, he's a cutie," she said as she relaxed in the hot tub, letting her head fall under the water. She came up and pushed her hair back out of her face and behind her. Trunks came out of the shower and jumped into the hot tub, making a fairly large splash. Stacie turned away as the wave smashed into her. "Ack!" she laughed as she got water in her mouth.

"Hah! Sorry," he laughed as he fixed his wet hair. Trunks positioned himself so he was in a corner of the hot tub and stretched his arms out along the edges. He closed his eyes and relaxed in the water. Stacie sat opposite him and just stared at him, completely spacing out.

"Man, he's got a great body with a great personality to match, and he's mine!" she thought to herself as she smiled. Trunks opened an eye and noticed Stacie was staring at him. He moved a bit from side to side to see if Stacie's eyes would follow him, but they didn't. He smirked as he positioned his hands in the water and splashed Stacie. Stacie quickly snapped out of her brainless stooper and wiped the water from her face.

"What was that for?" she asked him as he laughed.

"Well, you seemed to be slightly spaced out. So I thought I'd get your attention," he smiled.

"You already had my attention..... Oh! umm... I mean," she corrected herself. She immediately started to go red as Trunks continued to laugh. Stacie became annoyed while Trunks was laughing histerically. Stacie put both her hands in the water and pushed a wave of water over Trunks. Trunks stopped laughing and stared right at Stacie. "Trunks?" she asked as he stared right into her eyes. "Don't look at me like that!" she yelled spashing another wave at him. The wave missed him completely as he built up energy. The water surrounding Trunks started to rise up as he continued to stare at Stacie. "Trunks? What are you doing?" she asked. Suddenly, Trunks hair shot up in the air as he went super saiyajin. He stood up in the water as grinned at Stacie. "Eeek!" she screamed as the water in the hot tub began to splash all around her.

"You are so easy to scare," he laughed. He closed his eyes as the water in the hot tub stopped moving completely but still remained raised up around him. Stacie dove under the water and swam around behind Trunks. She slowly came up for air, hoping Trunks didn't hear her, but found her self face to face with the super saiyajin.

"Uh, hi!" she laughed as her head was just above the water. Trunks winked at her as he relaxed, letting the water splash back down all over Stacie. His hair returned to its normal colour and he sat back down in the hot tub beside Stacie. Stacie coughed as she had swallowed a bit of water.

"You alright?" Trunks asked her.

"Yea, I'm fine," she said as she stood up and started to walk out of the hot tub. Trunks never realized how attractive Stacie looked, and especially in a bikini. He looked at her as she bent over to pick up a towel.

"Damn, she looks good," he thought to himself. "I'm surprised she doesn't have a boyfriend already. I guess I should consider myself lucky!"

Stacie wrapped the towel around her waist and turned on the sauna. "You coming in, or are you just going to sit in there all day?" she said as she tossed him a towel. Trunks stood up and grabbed it before it landed in the water. She opened the door to the sauna and climbed in, Trunks followed. The both sat at opposite ends of the bench and leaned up against the walls with their legs towards each other on the bench.. Trunks tilted his head back and closed his eyes.

"Hey Trunks? How are we going to defeat the androids?" she asked him.

"I haven't figured that out yet. I couldn't figure out how to defeat them in my time, but I'm sure it can't be that difficult," he said. Inside, he knew it was going to be very difficult, but he didn't want to tell Stacie that.

Stacie sighed, as she feared what might happen to her next. She rubbed her face with the towel as she was sweating from the sauna. She looked at Trunks as he relaxed at the other end of the bench. She noticed the light glimmering off of Trunks sweating muscles as she stared at the saiyajin's body. Stacie moved her foot and lightly rubbed Trunks foot. He tilted his head forward and opened his eyes. Stacie smiled as Trunks looked at her. He leaned forward and rested his elbows on his knees as Stacie rubbed her face again. She dropped her towel on the floor and leaned closer so she was now sitting face to face with him.

"Wow, she has a really pretty face," he said as he looked into her blue eyes. Stacie shuffled her body closer to Trunks and put her hands on his legs. Trunks jumped as she touched his legs.

"His legs are really muscular!" she thought to herself as she could feel the heat from his body. Trunks was beginning to feel a bit uneasy, as he barely knew the girl who was now touching his legs. Stacie continued to rub his legs and slowly began working her way up his legs to his shorts. She slipped a hand inside one of the openings in his shorts and kept going. At this point, Trunks jumped up and left the sauna.

"Trunks? What? What did I do?" she yelled chasing after him. Trunks ran upstairs to his clothes and quickly put on a hawaiian shirt. Stacie ran up to the bedroom after Trunks. "What did you run off for?"

"It was getting to hot for me in the sauna, I felt like I was going to pass out," he replied, not making eye contact with her. "I'll leave so you can get dressed," he said as he left the bedroom. Stacie stared blankly for a second, then decided she had better get dressed, instead of dripping on the floor. She put on a pair of shorts, a tank top, her Capsule Corp. jacket and ran downstairs to talk to Trunks.

"If it was too hot in the sauna, why didn't you tell me?" she asked.

"I didn't want to hurt your feelings," he replied.

"Well, you hurt my feelings by running off!"

"Sorry."

"That's not good enough! I was having fun, weren't you?" she smiled.

"Honestly, not really," he sighed

"WHAT? Don't say that!" she cried.

"I'm sorry, Stacie. I do care for you, but you've only known me a couple of days! Don't you think you are moving a bit fast?" he said, sounding almost angry.

"Well, no! I don't know how much time I'm going to get to spend with you, so I want to enjoy it for all its worth!" she said as the tears began to roll down her face.

"Stacie! Don't cry. I was doing this to try and not hurt you. I don't want you doing something you might end up regretting! Please try and understand."

"NO! I don't understand. You said you loved me!" Stacie continued to cry as Trunks put his hand on her shoulder. She backed away, slipped on a pair of shoes, and ran out the back door.

"STACIE! Stacie wait!" Trunks yelled from the doorway, but Stacie was long gone. "Don't forget the androids are out there," he said quietly, knowing she wouldn't hear his warning, no matter how loud he said it. He knew he could easily catch her, but he felt she needed some time alone.
