It Never Rains But it Pours...
Its amazing how one day there is no news and some days the news just comes in so fast you don't know where to begin! So lets see now...
Firstly I got the latest release date for the PS-One DBZ game
Ultimate Battle 22 and it seems that the games release date has been moved back to March 18. The price still stands at $69.95 and you can more info on the GameWizz Ultimate Battle 22 page.
The new Babidi saga for the DBZ CCG is beng released in New Zealand on February 28 and you can view an interview with the Lead Game Developer about the Babidi saga by visiting
this page.
Some info on Dragonball GT now and it seems that FUNimation is skipping the first 15 episodes in the series as they found the beginning of GT was unappealing to fans and the series jumps straight into the action episodes. This doesn't mean that the other 15 episodes are gone for good as they will be released at some point. You can slso now see pictures of the first two Dragonball GT DVD's so
click here to see them. Thanks to Saiyanz Rage for the GT info and video pics!
As I mentined a couple of days ago the new (January) issue of
Beckett Dragonball Z Collector is now in New Zealand and features DBZ Budokai info, card images 101-201 of the World Games saga, how to create an action figure display, info on Legendary Super Warriors, a bio on Piccolo, a list of every English episode of DBZ as well as the usual quiz, poster and price guide.
In site news I am pleased to announce that this site has now passed 15,000 hits! To celebrate this I am please to announced that I have aquired the rights to use information and multimedia from two retired sites
Goku's Super Saiyan World and Goku the Unbeatable and the stuff will be on this site shortly!
Finally today I was going to do the reviews of the two new DBZ vids that were released today but I haven't seen them yet despite my many, many attempts to but I will definitely see them tommorow as the store rang to say they were there...after the store had closed...

DBZ Volume 5.12 Fusion - Internal Struggle
I've visited a couple of website to see what their reaction was to the new Dragonball GT theme and most were very unhappy (one website was so angry they  told FUNimation to "go f**k themselves"). Yesterday I forgot to put a link to the page where you can listen to the theme so click here to go to the page.
It also seems that the new January issue of Beckett Dragonball Z Collector is now out in New Zealand although I haven't got my copy yet so I can't tell you anything about whats in it yet.
And now to the preview of Fusion - Internal Struggle..
Dragonball Z Volume 5.12 Fusion - Internal Struggle
Release Date: Friday 14 February
Episodes:
The Innards of Buu (Episode 258)
When Vegito is absorbed by Majin Buu, the fused Saiyan separates into Goku and Vegeta once again. Deep within the inner workings of the villain, they reveal their plan to rescue Gohan and the others but can the duo survive the slimy perils of the digestive process and carry out their mission?
Mind Trap (Episode 259)
There are many dangers as Goku and Vegeta continue their search for Gohan and the others inside of Majin Buu's body! After meeting some creepy and disgusting fiends they finally find what they're looking for when they enter Majin Buu's head! Or have they?
Deadly Vision (Episode 260)
It seems all is going to plan when Goku and Vegeta find Gohan and the others until they are attacked by Majin Buu. The showdown begins , but Buu fighting in his own head is a mind bending experience. Can Goku and Vegeta survived in this twisted house of horrors where all is Buu?
Both of the previewed videos (Fusion - The Last Saiyan and Fusion - Internal Stuggle) both come out tommorow on both video and DVD tommorow

Official Dragonball GT Website Open
The Official Dragonball GT site has finally opened and after having a look at it I found its identical to the Official DBZ site and if it wasn't for the Dragonball GT logo at the top you may think you are at the DBZ site.
The content is basically the same as the official DBZ site as you can check out character and saga information, news, video and DVD information. It also has a page with video interviews with people involved with Dragonball GT such as Stephanie Nadolny, Gen Fukanaga and Barry Watson.
Theres also a video preview and you can listen to the GT theme song which is not a translation of the Japanese version but instead is a rap which goes something like "Take me to the Grand Tour (Grand Tour Grand Tour) Take me to the Grand Tour Dragonball GT!" and some fans are annoyed at this fact. Listen to the theme, see the video interviews and see a preview of the show
here.
I should warn you though the Dragonball GT is the sequel series to Dragonball Z and the site is FULL of spoilers to the series so if you don't want to know what happens don't go the site!
Due to the length of todays update I'm going to put the preview of video number 2
Fusion - Internal Struggle in tommorow update so  ake sure you check that out

The Dragonball.co.nz Post
I did my first post on my afilliates site today and I think it went...well... rather terribly. I went to preview what I had writen so far and it posted the message! Then I tried to edit it but couldn't so I tried to delete it but couldn't do that either so had to leave it and posted another post. Check out my posts on the site at Dragonball.co.nz
The final fifteen episodes of Dragonball Z are starting in America on March 17 and when they finish on April 7 it will be the end of Dragonball Z on TV in America as every episode of the show will have been dubbed into English. In New Zealand we are about fifty episodes behind US TV (that have played on TV3) so theres still a bit to go and when DBZ is finished Dragonball GT begins.
Finally don't forget to check out the new
Dragonball CDC - Tomako's Revenge comics at the bottom of this page!

Name Change Gohan!
Notice that there is new name (gohan2k) at the top of this update? Well thats because I have renamed myself. Originally when I began this site I didn't have a name for it and so when choosing a user name for my Yahoo Geocities site I picked gohan but that had been taken so I chose gohan2000 (2000 being the year at the time) but again that had been taken so added an nz (because New Zealand is where I'm from) and that worked so gohan2000nz became my online name.
This year I was asked to write some news updates on
Dragonball.co.nz which I agreed to do and the owner of the site made me a posting icon. The only problem was "gohan2000nz" was far too long and I decided to shorten it to "gohan2k" so thats what it is. In order to be consistent I've changed my name on this site as well. gohan2k sounds so much better anyway...
About the work at
Dragonball.co.nz. I'd like to point out that I am not abandoning this site and will only do ocacasional news updates but this site shall still be my main focus. Tommorow some time I'll do my first post on the site so check it out!
Also you may be interested to know that the official DBZ CCG site has placed a lot nmore images from the upcoming Babidi saga on their site including an image of the Majin Vegeta Level One card. Click

Two Sagas for DBZ CCG Revealed
The official Score DBZ CCG has finally put up a page which confirms the release of the soon to be released DBGT CCG collection of cards. Of course everyone whos read the news on this site recently knows all about this but the reason I mention this again is because they also mention the twos aags they are realeasing after the Babidi saga. They are the Fusion saga and Kid Buu saga. Read the article here
And fiannaly today I have deleted a couple of my affiliates due to their sites shutting down or the fact they removed the link to my site from theirs. I also delted all the useless "vote for me" links because they bring down the qulaity of the site. I also discovered that one was no longer a Dragonball Z site but rather was a porno ad...

Character Guide Updated!
Contiuing with my list of updates and additions to the site I went back to one of the sites more popular sections, The Character Guide, and had a look to see what need updating and to my shock and surprise I found that it was badly out of date and some essential characters such as Majin Buu were missing.
I added character profiles for Majin Buu, Fat Buu, Evil Buu, Bee, Big Ghetti Star, Dore and Meta Cooler while adding pics for Migoren, Lemlia and King Moai.
Check out the Character Guide by clicking
here!
