Level 1
This level is reached after long and hard training, and goes beyond the limits normally put upon a Saiyan. Giving off tremendous amounts of power, and in a state of constant nervousness, the Saiyin drastically changes in physical appearnce - their hair turns from black to gold and their eye turn from black to green. Their spiritual power, or power level, begins to climb, too, reaching impossible levels.

Dai Ni Dankai
This is one of a pair of deviatios of a first level Super Saiyan. Its reached by gathering all of your energy while in Super Saiyan made, until you end up with an excessive amount of power. Its more superior to the normal Super Saiyan but the power that escapes and the state of nervousness soon becomes uncontrolable. When Vegeta discovers this level, he calls himslef "Super Vegeta".

Dai San Dankai
This is quite simply being in the previous level and taking it to the max. It causes an extreme increase in muscular mass and power, so the warrior grows in size. But it has a down side as well - speed and velocity decrease, so any fighter that discovers this usually chooses to use another level.

Level 2
Once a Saiyan reaches level 2, his power again increases enormously, as well as agility and speed. In physical, the Saiyans hair rises, angling slightly back, and the force field around them becomes more defined.

Level 3
Level 3 breaks all of the rules when it comes to power - although it comes to an enormous waste of energy. The physical changes again by an increase of hair which now grows down to the Saiyans back, as well as a slightly larger forehead.

Ohzaru Gold
Ohzaru is the term used for the transformation into a giant waremonkey. More powerful than the regular Ohzaru, this is the transformation when a Saiyan look at the "full Earth" from planet Plant. Its easily distinguished from the normal Ohzaru by the tremendous power increase, and the waremonkey is now covered by gold hair. Ohzaru Gold is referred tas the Super Saiyan of Ohzaru mode.

Level 4
This definatly takes the power levels to the breaking point! Pulling out all the stops, a level 4 Super Saiyan is an awsome sight to behold - and it can only be reached by transfroming into Ohzaru Gold first. After that, turning into a level 4 Super Saiyan is easy. However, unlike the previous levels, the hair grows by width and remains black. The rest of the Saiyans body, except his chest and face, is covered in red fur.
