PAINTBALL
What can I say but...WOW!!!  I LOVE THIS GAME!!!  I played this a little back in high school, but it was nothing like this!  Back then you only had 10 round tubes and little 12gram air tanks.  Now, holy cow, 200 round hoppers that stir the balls around so they feed in the marker faster!  How fast, the fastest marker I know of will shoot over 24 balls per second!!!  Air tanks that hold up to 20oz of CO2 or as large as 114 cubic inches of 3000-5000psi of compressed air!

Oh, the "marker" thing.  Well all those damn anti-gun, nazi, wacko's want all guns outlawed, paintball too.  So, since the device used in paintball "marks" the player with paint, it is called a marker.  Originally, the markers were used by farmers to "mark" cows!  The story goes that the folks that invented this got a few marker together and a few friends and basicly played tag or the old "cops and robber"/"cowboys and indians" games like we did as kids and OH Boy, they enjoyed the hell out of it.  Well, that small group grew and here we are in 2004 and what an industry is has become!

This is another hobby/obsession that I share with my wife.  She had never played at all, but now is one hell of a player.  In fact, in one of the tournament that we played our team placed 3rd!  In the last match, she scored more points than anyone else on the team!

Our home field is
First Strike Paintball Games here in Chippewa Falls, Wi.  I am there either playing or as a referee every weekend.  I would like to take a moment to thank Craig, John and Brian for everything they have done for my wife and I with our paintball endeavours.  I would also like to thank Tim Mathews for getting me back into paintball.  Thanks guys!

Enough of the mushy crap, check out our markers, check out the links and if you have never tried paintball before, check out your local paintball field.  Give it a try.  Even if, for some strange chance that you don't like it, you can say "yes, I tried paintball".
This is my Spyder Shutter.  I have done a few mods to it.  I first removed the barrel shroud.  I installed a braided steel air line from the regulator to the expansion chamber.  I installed a 32* turbo valve and valve pin.  A Lapco cup seal was also installed.  The venturi was removed from the bolt and the bolt has been polished.  I replaced the stock field strip pin with a push button style pin.  There is also a mix of 32* and Madman springs installed.  My Shutter uses a 12 volt REVY, a 14" J&J ceramic barrel and whatever HPA tank I throw on it.  I am very happy with my Shutter.  This is the marker I use to show people that the marker doesn't make the player!
This marker has been sold to my younger brother Ryan.  It is Spyder AMG LCD.  I have removed the barrel shroud and sight rail.  Internally I have Madman springs and a Lapco cup seal, the trigger is a Check-it Sweet spot trigger and has a 50 gram trigger switch.

This is my current primary paint-slinger.  A 2003 AKA Viking.  In its current state, it has a  Vaporworks Pandora board, has eyes installed and has a BP (Bart Parts) No-Rider hopper adapter.  I use an Evil Pipe barrel system, a Odessey painball Halo B with a RIP drive and have a Centerflag 72 Cu 4500 psi airtank, hanging from a WGP drop forward and On/Off.
This is my back-up marker.  It is a Fireball Mountain Cobra Cocker.  At this time the marker has a Shocktek Rat valve, a WGP orracle trigger, a WGP Cam adjuster and a WGP CT 3-way.  The rest is the way it came from Fireball Mountain.  I purchased this marker from a friend and it had an Eclipse E-blade on it.  I took the E-blade off of it and installed it on my wife's WGP Outkast (Thanks Cody!!).  I am not sure yet what I will do with this thing, it is insanely fast for a mechanical cocker, but I am sure I will add to it.  I call this my back-up marker, but with the Viking, I don't need a "back-up"!!  I use this marker when I need to slow things down and sometimes I am just in the mood to shoot the cocker!
This is the wife's primary marker.  A 2003 WGP Outkast.  We have converted it to a NightKast with the installation of the E-Blade.  Other than the E-Blade, the only thing done to it is it now has a WGP Orracle bolt.  It will be getting a different ram with QEV's and a new bolt, but I have not yet made up my mind as what to get.  This marker also uses the Halo B with a RIP drive and a Centerflag 68/4500 tank.  We are using a stock barrel for now, again, haven't made up our collective minds as what to get.
