DO ALL THINGS WELL  

  BR   WALSH:

To become a brother was a religious occasion. A religious occasion means that who have decided to become a brother have devoted their life to follow the Christian life at its highest. Any of us or the nuns, priests, etc have decided to follow the teachings of Christ. We the Christian brothers have devoted ourselves to teaching and imparting knowledge to the future of the country.

PERSONAL LIFE:

Asking of regrets, speaking frankly I have none. I developed the passion of teaching from my teachers who were also Christian brothers. I did my training in Ireland and was posted there for 4 years. I landed in India 1948. My hobbies are bird watching, music (classical), and photography. I also had a collection of portraits. I had great interest in piano. I also had done my exams in piano.

STUDENTS:

I always had good relations with the students where ever I have worked in. Among all the students, I have found the boys of Nainital very responsive. They still keep good touch with me. The only negative point I find of the Indian boys is that they try to copy the west. I am very much against this because one should be proud of his country’s culture. The world knows that India has a rich culture. The boys in India according to my experience much better than the west. They know what they have to do at the right time and this is a good quality in them.

MY ADVICE TO THE BOYS:

If you ever have to make decisions in life alone, make them.
