History: Centuries ago, a brave samurai fought with the Oni known as Sukuna! After a deadly encounter, the samurai was able to defeat the demon and bury its body parts in different parts of Mt. Sukuna. Now in present day (Ultraman timeline wise), bandits attempt to steal the samurai statue and sword. But the sword possesses one of the men and the samurai senses the near return of the Oni, Sukuna. Knowing he'd be unable to defeat the demon in his present form, the samurai does what he can. Sensing good in GUTS team member, Daigo (Ultraman), the samurai releases his spiritual hold on the man and Daigo transforms into Tiga! Now released, Sukuna attempts to ravage the land of any life but now must go through Ultraman's might. They fight and turn the ancient land into a battle ground. After an atrocious brawl, Ultraman is the victor-but Sukuna's head manages to attach its teeth to Ultraman�it looks as if Ultraman would be unable to rid his body of the foul demon in time before its timer runs out, but the samurai's sword manages to embed itself deep in Sukuna's forehead and the day is saved. Fighting Power: *** Tempted to give Sukuna-Oni four-stars, but what I noticed during its battle with Ultraman Tiga is that despite being talented with its Katani, Sukuna never really made the hits count. But of course we have to realize, Ultraman is quite the agile opponent. Against slow opponents who would be unable to get out of the blade's way, Sukuna's sword would be a deadly weapon. Its hellish flames are lethal if an opponent would be exposed to its fury head on. Despite its unique ability to reconfigure its body and fighting skills, Sukuna still lacks the proper abilities to truly overcome monsters above average rating scales. |
