| Melba Height: 62 meters Weight: 46,000 tons Powers: Incredibly fast in the air, beak, claws and eye lasers. History: Melba is one of the Super Ancient Monsters predicted by legends to return in the days of Modern Man. Emerging from Eastern Island; Melba takes flight towards the Tiga Pyramids. Melba quickly meets up with his Super Ancient Monster comrade, Golza and the two immediately assault the giant statues that were inside the pyramid (that was destroyed by Golza). Melba, along with Golza, destroys two of the three giant statues. Before the third could be destroyed, it turned into Ultraman Tiga. Teaming up on Ultraman Tiga with Golza, Melba attacks with all the ferocity it could muster. But as Golza tunnels away, knowing it is inevitable, Melba stays to the very end-only to be destroyed by Ultraman Tiga. Fighting Power: *** To me, Melba is an average monster. Don't get me wrong, this Super Ancient Monster is fast when it wants to be and its eye lasers are pretty powerful. Just it isn't that awesome in physical combat. If Melba were to fight an opponent who was slow and could only walk on land, then it would have a field day. But against opponents who are fast, great at physical combat and/or could fly-Melba is up against the wall, struggling. |
