Powers: Tentacles, can fly, absorb the DNA from other life forms, sharp dagger like arms, and can bond with another being to improve itself. Can shoot sonic beams from the tentacles.
History: After engaging Legion, Gamera had drained the Earth of the majority of its Mana. Now, to the dismay of every living thing, the Gyaos had returned and evolved. Millions soon appear across the globe and Gamera engages with his one time adversary.
In a Japanese village, a girl who has had an agenda against Gamera dreams about the Guardian's death every time she closes her eyes. Her name is Ayana. Her parents were killed by Gamera's battle against Gyaos in the heart of Tokyo, 1995.
She soon discovers the egg of a new breed of creature that was mutated by the Gyaos. Eventually, it hatches and Ayana raises it as if it were her own child. Naming it after her cat, Ayana calls it Iris.
Gamera's assaults on the Gyaos leaves Shibuya in flames. Other possible cities had been destroyed and this only heightens Ayana's hatred towards Gamera. Her hatred telepathically leaks into Irys' own subconscious and the Mutated Gyaos develops the same hatred. But it also has an agenda...it wants to fuse with Ayana, as Gamera nearly done years ago. The fusion would form the ultimate creature.
After a few attempts, Iris had not succeeded. But in a brief battle in an aerial confrontation, Iris is able to throw Gamera off his trail for a while--with human assistance, sadly. Iris lands in Kyoto, Japan to join with Ayana once and for all but Gamera attempts to stop the creature. The battle is fierce and Iris appeared to have been designed to slaughter the Guardian of the Universe. Only when Iris is distracted, does Gamera take his chance and delivers a critical blow. With the use of Iris' own energy, Gamera slams his plasma fist into Iris and incinerates the creature once and for all.

Iris is really a formidable opponent. I conclude this cause he nearly killed Gamera. His awesome dagger like arms can stab right through Gamera's chest and out the back shell. Iris can also deflect Gamera's Plasma Fireballs with his tentacles.
Not only that, but he's really dangerous in aerial combat. How so? Well, he was able to do serious damage to the turtle.
But what makes Iris more dangerous is he can absorb the life force of another monster, and then mutate its own DNA to perform the same attack. Truly, Iris should be avoided at all cost.. |
