| Gijera Height: 35 meters Weight: 44,000 tons Powers: Able to pull roots out of the ground to entangle opponents, thorns sticking out of roots to inflict pain, body is able to withstand physical assaults, jaws, poisonous fumes emitted from maw; stunning bolts deployed by vines after entrapping the enemy and is able to deploy a mist of chemicals that can drive a creature mad. History: Thirty-million years ago, Gijera lent a helping hand in the destruction of the ancient civilization of Man. Her toxic fumes and powder mists turned the ancient civilization into a horde of crazed beings obsessed with what Gijera had to offer. Gijera's mist had made the ancient civilization fall into a deep slumber, a choice they had made to attain the pleasures their dreams allowed them to feel. In that age, Ultraman Tiga and the other Titans could not interfere with the choices humanity made. Thus, Gijera was only the beginning of the destruction of the ancient race of Man. Eventually, the Zoigar and Gatanozoa enveloped the world in darkness. But in modern times, Mankind had once again flourished. Gijera had returned from beneath the decrepit terrain of the world. Her fumes immediately took a hold over humanity, allowing them to dream of whatever pleasures their minds could conjure. They had received a small treatment of Gijera's offering and wanted more. But for the first time in over a million years, the human form of Ultraman Tiga sought to give humanity another chance. Tired of seeing his race be hampered by beings far superior, Daigo believed there was hope for humanity. Even when those addicted to Gijera's powders cursed Ultraman Tiga's name, the Warrior of Light fought for their lives against the monstrous plant. With the help of GUTS and good team work, Ultraman Tiga destroyed Gijera and was the first Titan to interfere with human's choice. Fighting Power: ***** This giant plant had helped the forces of darkness once plunge the Earth in despair. It nearly succeeded again. The strong, thorny vines were strong enough to even overpower Ultraman Tiga! The Warrior of Light was helpless to break free and if not for GUTS interfering, it isn't known what would've become of Ultraman Tiga. Gijera's sharp thorns allow its vines to inflict further harm on whatever it wraps or slashes. When the enemy had been successfully ensnared by Gijera's vines, bolts can be emitted from the vines to help stun the opponent. When up close, Gijera is able to deploy her jaws to tear into the enemy and also emit toxic fumes that managed to even topple Ultraman Tiga. The only alternative when facing Gijera in combat is possessing a good defense to help lower the damage ratio her attacks inflict and deploying powerful projectiles. Attacks that can inflict as much harm as or more than Ultraman Tiga's zepellion beam should get the job done. There is a reason of why Gijera earns a 'Highly Dangerous' rating. |
