Gappa

Height: 50 meters
Weight: 30,000 tons

Powers/Abilites: Can fly, swim, and expel a powerful blue beam from maw.

History: Sailing off to an unnamed island in the South Pacific, off the coast of Japan, a group of scientists stumble upon a huge egg. Wasn't long though, before the egg hatched, and crawling from it was a bird like lizard creature. Seeing fame and fortune on the horizon with such a discovery, the humans took the infant beast, and a local native boy whom seemed to know of the animal's history. He pleaded that Gappa would be angry if they took the baby; but of course, no one listens to the kid.
Soon after the boat arrived back at Japan, the island, where they just got the baby, erupts in turmoil. The local volcano erupts and bursting from its side are two giant Gappas. One male and one female. The duo, obliviously pissed that their child was stolen, flatten the village and dive into the ocean. Swimming all the way to Japan in but a few days. Once arrived, the pair wreck incredible havoc. Tanks, planes, and rockets are all but ineffective against their determination to find their kid.
After it is determined that there is absolutely no other choice, the humans return the infant to their parents. Dropping off the now nearly 15 meter child at the airport, it wasn't long before mommy and daddy arrived. Then, after a brief flying lesson from father, the trio fly away back home.

Fighting power:: ****

Four might sound a little high, but really it fits the Gappa. I mean, land, air and water are not an obstacle for them. Being one of the few true triphibians, they can meet any foe anywhere. Not to mention their quick shot oral beams, the Gappa could hit a foe multiple times before it even got close to it. However the creature lacks grappling skills. Their arms are kind of underdeveloped for physical hand to hand combat. Any powerful physical fighter like Gigan, Megalon, or even Gamera would win with no problem in close range. Also the only known true weakness to the Gappa, is super sonic waves. Though not a lot of monsters share that ability, some do and could exploit it with ease.
