This year, Within The Ark Ministries is instituting November as our official Intercessory Prayer Month. What we would like you to do is get together with a friend, perhaps a cyber friend, join together and set prayer goals...
- Choose one personal matter for both of you to pray over during the month of November. It may be prayer for a lost loved one, or personal situations.
- Pray also for "the family" in general as it is the foundation on which our country stands.
- Pray for the situation that we, as a nation are facing, our leaders, etc.
- Pray for your church and your pastor.
- Then choose a time of day that you will come together either literally, or in spirit, and stick to it.
- Share your pray experience with the other.
- Keep notes if you are a note keeper.
- Remember that prayer is simply communion with God.
- Make it a daily event you look forward to by having a cup of coffee on hand or whatever you enjoy.
- And when our prayer month is over, perhaps you would like to continue the routine with your prayer partner.
The Prayer of Jabez And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.�1 Chronicles 4:9, 10
