On September 11, 2001 our nation, The United States, was pulled into the terror that other nations and states have withstood for many years. Although we'd flick on the news and see the images of terror in far-away places, and we composed a degree of sympathy for those involved, it wasn't truly a reality. But on 9/11/01 it became in reality for us, the people of America-Land of the free....
While our nation digs out from under the rubble in N.Y. City and at the Pentagon, we also dig out from under the rubble of extreme, national heart-break. And, as the weeks have followed we have been pulled into a different kind of war. A war, not for territory, but a war for freedom and an end to fear. Our nation's leader, President Bush, will not be remember so much for the issue of pregnant chads, but for his fierce stand against terrorism. Our nation has returned to prayer in support of a government who is realizing that it is God who is in control. We hope they keep that thought.
So now, we press on with Anthrax scares being sent by way of our postal service. We wait to see what else will come.....But ultimately we know that God is in control.....

INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!

We celebrate the 4th of July to honor the day that The Declaration of Independence was signed and put into effect. It was written by our Founding Fathers thus declaring America's independence from England. A group of five men, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Robert R. Livingston and Roger Sherman were chosen to write this famous freedom-founding document. It was revised many times before being declared our Declaration of Independence on July 2, 1776. John Hancock was the first signer of the Declaration of Independence, on July 4, 1776.
