A1. The answer to the questions above are not as hard as they seem. Many people have tried so hard to answer them that they have missed the answer. First, Why is there evil in the world? To ask a better question what would the world be like without it? Without evil there would be no compassion, pity, or grace. Grace is one of the foundations in the church. God showed mankind grace when they sinned by not wiping us of of the face of the earth. Instead, He gave us a second chance, if you will. Without Evil in the world no one would have experienced compassion, pity, or grace. Without this experience our understanding of God would be incomplete, therefore making us worshipers of a God of our own making. Without the grace of God we would not know the fullness/extent of His love. He would not have had a reason to send His Son to die for us(the ultimate sacrifice of love). Life without the problem of evil would be perfect and yet we would miss so much without it. In fact, Evil really isnt a problem at all. It is a blessing. No one would know the feeling of relief after going through a tough time. They wouldn't know the things stated above. It is a blessing in disguise. It allows us experiences we wouldn't otherwise have, it brings us closer together(9-11 for example), and it shows God's glory more fully than otherwise. Second, how did it get there? Man put it there. In the beginning man was given a choice(though God knew the choice man would make) and Man chose sin. Lastly, Why does God allow it to exist? As stated in answering the first question, It shows Gods glory better then a perfect world would, it brings unity, and it allows us experiences we would otherwise not have. |
