Seeing that I can't bring a cooler or a keg into the stadium, I will have plenty of free space on me to carry cash for bribes!! It sounds very casual. If I don't switch jobs, I will take Thursday and Friday off and get tickets and wonder around and see what I can investigate. I'm sure if I see Serena in person, I will be able to tell immediately if she's gay or not, in denial or not, etc. It is well-settled that you can read people's emotions better when they're playing on clay! I'm starting to get worried about exactly whom I will be seeing at Amelia Island. It's the week after Ericcson, and with all these "top" players doing Scottsdale, then Indian Wells, then Ericcson, I'm starting to wonder if there will be a mass bail-out from this tournament. Very colourful and she's gay, that's a sign everybody knows. Trouble is, if she wears make-up, she is in denial.... And if the player listens to Barbra Streisand, she's gay ! We have to find out who they listen to...... I might try that in Roland-Garros (knowing now clay is playing a role)

Also, don't forget, if it's windy, Serena's skirt might fly up, and colorful underwear can tip us off too, sort of like the stories about Renee Stubb's colorful undewear during the ladies' doubles final at the AO last month. bonnielisa Member	posted 02-25-2000 08:09 AM I just thought of YET another way to figure these things out (despite our numerous, valid tests, LOL)!! We need to start a weekly "Ask Heidi" thread. From what I understand, she actually answers a lot of the e-mails from Steffi's webpage and is fairly candid. After what, 17, 18 years of following Steffi on the tour, I'm sure Heidi knows who's straight and who's gay, and Steffi probably knows too, and disclosed it all to her mom. At the end of each week, we can copy the thread with all our pertinent questions into an e-mail, send it to Heidi, and voila, she tells all, we have our answers!! I'm sure Heidi will have no problem taking some time out of her life to "out" various players on the tour for us. She might even be able to resolve the shower dilemma for us also, who peeks, peekers, peekees, did Gaby shower in a bathing suit, etc. Steffi and Heidi know all, and I'm sure they'd be willing to tell all, too. So, everyone, what do you think?!?!?

The underpants clue could be signifigant. Several seasons ago I saw a doubles player who was wearing polka-dotted panties - blue with white polka dots. I didn't think anything of it at the time, but that was before I met all your discerninig minds and realized the deeper meanings behind superficial incidents. Heidi is the Internet maven, so I just figured she's more accessible than Arantxa's mom. Of course, we could ALWAYS ask Samantha Stevenson: she's full of ideas on the topic, and not afraid to share them!!!

Does Natasha know that Lindsay used to be a man, at least if our prior conclusions are correct (which they are, the nail polish test is 100% accurate). Honestly, I've never heard speculation about Natasha, much less about her and Lindsay being together.

I haven't done research on the others, but I suspect they could be cross-dressers. Linda Tripp, however, is a whole different story, I think she is still cleaning up after a sex-change operation. A brain change would have been better, IMO Madeleine Albright plays tennis, I will have to check her out, off-hand I'd vote for straight. You should have been here in the thick of the fray, Wayne

Lindsey Member	posted 03-04-2000 12:54 PM Yeah that's actually true.. Lindsay and Natasha were roommates back in 1996/7 (long before the became doubles partners). They shared a condo in Newport Beach together. I think Lindsay moved in right after her parents got divorced. I think it must have been hard for her to live either with her mom or her dad coz it would be like taking sides (lots of kids with divorced parents have that problem). Anyway, 2 girls living together doesn't mean there's a relationship going on.. Natasha was engaged to fellow pro Scott Davis at the time.. obviously that never worked out Also, I think it's really nice coz it shows that top players can be best of friends too. I just said I have very short hair, and some times it's really depressed and other times it's quite gay. I do think Amelie has very nice hair, so thick and healthy looking. really am jealous of all that hair

Certainly, there's the economic elements or the student elements. But, Lindsay and Natasha can quite obviously afford to have their own pads, and they were not in school. What does this mean? What other WTA players have had roommates?
