Chris COULD have been. She always seemed PRETTY friendly with Martina Navratilova, given she was suppodedly the little straight and sheltered girl from Fort Lauderdale.

But the question of Lindsay's nailpolish (or lack thereof), is really key to this issue. Plus, Chris always wore a deep shade of pink. If Lindsay wears a darker color, or clear, I think we have our answer!! Everyone ignores the OBVIOUS signs here.

Yeah, I read she has not one, but TWO, pet rottwiellers (sp?). I just can't think of any straight girls who would have dogs like that, can you? I mean, if she had a poodle, a pequanese, or something, I'd finger her for being totally straight, but those rottwiellers are a dead give-away.

If Lindsay is trying to stay in the closet, the hair, nails, and dogs are just giving her away and she needs to get a clue!!

Well, I surfed the WTA site PRETTY thoroughly, and, believe it or not, they do not keep statistics on the players' choice regarding nail polish, much less the color or shade. None of the Lindsay Internet sites helped either.

I guess we'll have to be left hanging about Lindsay's sexuality until someone can find a good on-court picture of the color of her nails!!

Actually, Gallofa, the cutoof height is 6 foot 0.4 inches, not 6 foot as you inaccurately posted. There have been a few lesbians just a sliver over 6 feet tall. Three American pro beach volleyball players and one stenographer from Milan are the best known examples.

As for whether there is a height cutoff for men, the answer is no. There is a weight cutoff however. No gay man has ever weighed more than 273 pounds (124kg). I have no idea why.

As for the "tallness" requirement proving Venus and Serena are not gay, yes is it proof positive for Venus. Serena, who is only about 5'10", we are still uncertain about. Guess we'll have to see if she wears nail polish.

As to whether or not Lindsay is gay, I guess it doesn't really matter unless we do something about it. Therefore, I have to ask some of our gay women here:

Would you do Lindsay?

Thanks for the response, very funny, but we still haven't got anywhere. Totally agree with Dawn Maree who said that gay women can still be fem.

A few of you have referred to Lindsay's comments about Mauresmo. Personally I don't think that Lindsay was being insultingn to Mauresmo. I can't remember the exact qoute, but it was along the lines of this "the shoulders were just huge". Now that tells me that Lindsay was checking Mauresmo out! I'd say she had/or has the hots for her and that would explain her mental block against her!

Ok, until we figure out the nail polish dilemma, we will never know. Toenail polish doesn't count.

BUT, I just thought of another potential dead give-away: Lindsay can't slide on clay! Barring a final resolution of the nail polish issue, I think this provides us our answer.

After much thought, I've come to the conclusion that Pete Sampras and Lindsay Ddavenport are twins who were separated at birth, and have never been told that they are closely related. Clues were that both were originally from Palos Verdes, California; both are tall, both started tennis at a very early age, both were obviously fostered because their "parents" don't run their careers; real parents would be there claiming credit for everything and spending the money as fast as they could. Anyway, this proves that Lindsay is NOT gay, because there are no gay twins.
