I am a scientist working in several fields of research the main index of which is on my science Page.

Some of the fields I am interested in are highly speculative or futuristic, this should not put you off, many new areas of research can appear pretty bizarre or illogical until you understand them - here they always- usually have a solid base or they are about trying to find one, -or sometimes are about debunking when its required.

(If an argument is incomplete or missing parts its usually that I tend to write in an active draught format - so things can be left half finished and not really say what they mean. I also have word dyslexia and sometimes go back to find that a sentence I had written one way had only half the words, or worse one word has been displaced by another. )

I have worked for many years on the problems of Strong AI, about 15 years ago my work began to bear fruit, however - mostly due to simple practical problems and also due to its enormous complexity I still do not have a working AI prototype even today. Despite this I am almost certain that I have basically solved AI’s biggest problem of building a consciousness, but the problems are implementation not theory. As well as this my work on the formidable maths of AI has allowed me to look very deeply at some of the problems in other science - physics and space research. Of course working on these other projects is part of why my AI research isn't much further advanced.

This is a very high risk venture but the rewards are phenomenal

A troubled future and a bigger problem than you thought. Moral models for AI are critical for business models and business success. This is not a straightforward product or easy to sell, when it goes wrong it will kill people, in theory it could replace every employee in almost any company from its CEO to its janitors. In reality AI will not become a universal panacea but it has enormous potential - and the potential to save many millions of lives. AI control would have stopped Bhopal, AI control would have saved Princess Dianna, AI control would have prevented 9/11, AI accelerated analysis could even cure cancer. It is not an exaduration to say that a change to an AI integrated society is as big a change than as any that has occurred in the last 100 years.

The selling model for AI is quite complicated, in almost every area there are applications. However there are complications, we cant just put human workers out of work, we cant allow it to be used in a hundred amoral pursuits. The price we’ll pay if we don’t pursue a strong moral code is that it will simply be banned and no-one will make any money.

AI Machines have to be defended and the AI core concept has to be protected. AI creates a whole new world and requires many new laws. Although I like to consider myself a friend of Open software AI is its implacable enemy, AI systems will or must be closed in a way that no software has ever been before. Total immunity to infiltration and reverse engineering is a requirement. Fortunately there are solutions, fortunately my work on assemblers in the early 90s has already shown me how to solve this problem.

The social politics of AI is a difficult issue, the machine has to be somewhere between a slave and a friend, property and immune from being property, ownership is a special complication. The problems of safety in AI may well turn it into something that only government and security agencies are even allowed to touch or own I do not want this. We have to make the assumption that some of our customers will be terrorists or other undesirables. One possibility is that all AI cores (minds) are stored in central repositories and connect to users and interface systems (ie robots) remotely through internet links.

To say AI is valuable is something of an understatement. After several years of light market analysis AI may be worth up to 20 trillion dollars after twenty years of market penetration, High risk - Ultra high rewards. Handled correctly AI companies could easily become the most powerful on Earth and the real problem is actually allowing the rest of the commercial world to live with us. Today’s capitalist models are not really adequate for AI long term and its almost certain that the core of the system will partly become a province of government as well. In fact once they understand people may feel even government offers enough protection and the solution may well be a “Zero-lock” security lock - a padlock with no key or even a keyhole. With a zero key system once started the machines logic is sealed for life and opening it destroys it.

( Of course such a machine can not easily be repaired if a software bug is found, it will be somewhat difficult to design it to allow hardware to be replaced. Although its immunity to invasion can be made near absolute, hacking attacks like buffer under-runs could still easily destroy it. The only real defence is for its owner is to protect the hardware physically from infiltration, physical case design can also be extremely strong and impervious. Complete shielding from EMP for instance is already part of my case specification - EMP failure could put an AI into a position were it would instantly kill people - a car with no driver.)

One thing we see in many science fiction AI’s is big friendly shut down button on the front. This would be acceptable if the sky was blue and the clouds fluffy and white, however in the real world this button would soon become the “EasySteal” _TM button. Like many Asimov ideas unfortunately it is completely useless. An AI has to treat itself as a valuable product, it must try to preserve human life but making it a hero is not a good idea. I have built a simple grading system for AI Sentience, as an example we can fit animal and humans into this as well. The numbers are pretty permanent the names are still changeable.

1. Dumb. Todays Non-AI technology, from the light switch to the car, the defining characteristic is non sentient. Human level : examples are deep coma, colossal trauma or death.

2. Simple. Menial - as smart as the sci-fi computers in Star Trek, sentient but with heavily restricted self awareness. Basic animal level sentience. Human Level : examples include frontal lobotomy.

3. Common. Sentient self aware, self motivating, capable of long term memory and complex tasks.

Human level : Average “Joe”

4. Advanced. Thinker capable of deep analysis, capable of scientific or other creative work. Likely to be more independent and less stable than simpler levels.

Human Level : Scientist, Doctor, Engineer

5. Transcendental. Genius level thinker, capable of making great leaps rapidly. Capable pre-prediction, conceptual leaps, and able to out-think opponents. Likely to be highly independent and less stable than lower levels, more prone to psychosis, murder, and ‘zeroth law’ actions.

Human level : Top scientist, Top Artist, Theorist, Entrepreneur, Top General, Top National Leader

Surprisingly the complexity level between the different levels is practically the same, only 2 is somewhat less, and of course one is zero because a rock is level 1. Level 5 requires something more that may never be possible for machine based AI.

Hi this is my base page I am Robert Lucien, as you can see I am a scientist, I am not a geek nor really a nerd, for a while I was a goth, heavily into music. I play the guitar - badly. I have Dyslexia which means I am not good at riding bikes, I fumble in writing and in conversation. I have an IQ with a median of 130 that probably peaks at 150 and on a bad day is 110, this puts me in the top 0.01 % of the population. I am a polymath good at physics design art invention, etc.

Socially, well at the moment I don’t really have one - you see 10 years ago I had a nervous breakdown, this hurt me enormously, it hurt my friends, it hurt my family - hell it hurt everyone.

So here is my apology page - something to those in my past, all those I feel I betrayed or failed. -

Sorry to Terence Win that I didn’t kill you, but I was a coward and valued my life to much. I wonder how many innocent people you have hurt since then, if you have beaten your wife or kids to death, or one of the prisoners, or another guard, or have you raped anyone?. I was just visiting, the hell of Ducane road - Guards ‘barracks’ (the kennel where they kept the worst guards) You are the lowest most aggressive, most subhuman man I have ever met and I know you don’t know how much you hurt me or care. You deserve to be suspended on fish hooks and be skinned alive, I even designed a machine to keep recycling your blood so you wouldn’t die to quickly. Maybe a nice petrol chainsaw would be better. You deserve it.

Sorry about the psychosis, but prison guards are not like normal - proper humans, with very small breeding pools, no prohibition about breeding with family members - and intense brutality, they have a high mutation and deformity rate. Their extreme aggression brutality and constant fighting make them seem more like animals than men. The average intelligence of a prison guard is only between 60 - 80, it’s a job with no rewards or prospects where you’ll be bullied and brutalised and you will learn to fight, just to survive (and that’s before you meet the prisoners). My somewhat uncomfortable joke at the time was that they simply took the most brutal violent prisoners beat them for a few hours, put them in a uniform and … (ok it was probably the worst prison in the uk.)

After my personal disasters I learned a lot and hurt a lot, for a while I got so ill I lost my reality. It had huge positive and negative effects on my work. If you search the internet in just the right place you might things that are absolutely bizarre. In others you may discover that I solved the great problem Einstein couldn’t, or that I know where to take space technology next, or that I am one of the potential creators of the coming AI Revolution. (If I‘m feeling particularly arrogent) I want to be the AI messiah and save the world from the disaster of AI misapplication

One thing I am sure about is that “schizophrenia” is a ‘disease’ that is latent in all of us, all you have to do is open the wrong barrier, open the wrong gateway, do the wrong drug, play the wrong game, explore the wrong secret. (My stupid game was called fan obsession, and it was with the wrong star. Ouch! my star he is so sharp!) I admit it is also connected to my AI research, Turing had schizophrenia, and I think many other AI scientists also did/do, it’s just a risk of playing the AI game. Add to that I was broke - had never really had money - and I was holding something that could make its inventor the richest man on earth - but wasn’t quite working, and this was somewhat stressful. (Its still not “quite” working 10 years later! !!!!)

“Angry Version”

The Emperor wears no clothes, he is a very naughty boy who has tricked a lot of stupid people into believing his wacky theory. If you’re wondering why I’m so rude to physicists, it because every time I question this theory its feels like I’m challenging sacred scripture NOT SCIENCE. Yet once you question that nature of reality Relativity has huge and stupid flaws in it - its unbelievable that they choose not to notice.

Believing that you can’t travel faster than light while at the same time believing in wormholes, next you’ll be telling me that the universe is made out of string, or that every time we get it wrong we simply add another dimension.

I did some work on these theories of flat hyperspaces and realised that a flat hyperspace completely precluded any possibility of wormholes. Relativity says that space can fold like a pretzel, study the hyperspace manifold and its immediately obvious that space hasn’t folded - nor can it fold. (you can do this by looking at the stars and observing the movement between them (there isn’t any). Because we see light from different light cones at once we can indirectly see speeds vastly beyond the speed of light - what we see is a flat static 3D hyper-plane).

Relativities greatest fault is to create a simple single map between space and time, this tensor manifold is a very clever idea but it has a fatal flaw - it requires a four dimensional solid. Maths / Spatial Geometry works perfectly for two dimensions, imperfectly for three, and not really at all for four. Four dimensional space breaks down into impure subsets (sub-spaces) of three dimensions. Besides this the real implication of a temporal dimensional plane is that the universe is terribly fragile - and this is the real flaw in Relativity, it means you either have to accept that the universe doesn’t exist or that it is only a few years old.

(The obvious answer of course - as in my model, is that the time plane exists but is broken. There may be (ie is) a hyperspace time, but to us it is unreachable, it is also not ‘dimensional‘)

Of course standard Relativity says basically the same thing - that ‘locally’ the time plane is broken and we don’t experience dimensional time. However once we confront this we find the “nothing can travel faster than light” condition far weaker because any universal transit either breaks the condition anyway or touches that non broken time plane. - This basically means that Relativity still holds true probably everywhere but also that it lets you break its rules anywhere. - It has now become a theory of finite sub-spaces with a dominant and unbendable hyperspace super plane. If this is true it leaves half of modern physics as nothing but wreckage.

“Tidier Version” (an answer to a question)

There is a 'total consensus' among ordinary scientists about Relativity - and this is a problem for me, this consensus has become so universal that it has gained a force that makes it no longer science.

There is nothing directly wrong with relativity - at least as the basic level. I'm well aware how many predictions that Relativity makes that are correct. My problem was never with Special Relativity either, but with GR.

General Relativity (GR) makes assumptions about the general universe that require ftl - even if you label it as something like dimensional time - as in the tensor manifold. Yet at the same time GR explicitly denies ftl.

. All the problems with General Relativity are in the shape of its ftl universe. The Relativity tensor manifold is almost identical to my own flat hyperspace but inside out. The very fact that Relativity allows things as ridiculous as wormholes should give a strong warning that it has fatal flaws.

Extend this weakness to its logical conclusion and Relativity predicts that the universe itself either doesn’t exist or is very young. (as in creationism) Sometimes I even wonder if Einstein wrote the whole thing as a joke.

The irony is that if you allow a flat hyperspace it immediately becomes obvious that Quantum physics disintegrates and collapses into a more classical physics mould - this alone should tell anyone which one is true. My hyperspace model posits that the essential tachyon condition is superposition. Multiple spin values can be mapped as twisting space or as a LOCAL space of lower dimensionality, both of which are compatible with hyperspace. The wave particle duality collapses into particles everywhere - a wave is simply an oscillating particle. The uncertainty principle disintegrates because the flux now has a cause that makes it predictable. It leaves a universe that almost looks Newtonian.

When we come to mapping Gravity, its still basically an unsolved problem. However I would at least partially rule out curved spaces as a solution. The solution I favour involves localised accelerating inertial frames which we may call sub-spaces. More info will follow but this is still very much a half solution and no more than a guess.

I should also add that even at its end this work can only be half finished, it will be up to the Roger Penrose’s and Steven Hawking’s of the world to fix it and finish and build a new stronger theory. I find it very hard to believe that this work is novel, but suspect that I am repeating the work of others done in the distant past. As far as I can tell there is no great reason why Einstein himself couldn’t solve it, and certainly it breaks quantum in the way he was looking for. (one might speculate about the extreme military paranoia and secrecy in the 1950‘s and 60‘s.)

Lastly I do have a pretty good knowledge about Relativity and its maths. - there are a lot of minutiae I don’t need to understand. - The arguments against Relativity are really far simpler and on the level of basic granularity. If physics was still able to use Occam’s Razor on this problem it would have been solved many years ago.
