Rovers 0-0 Bolton
It would take a particularly greedy person not to say that Rovers have had a good season, but alas the poor run of results against the "Lesser" teams continues, and Andy Cole's lack of goals continues. While his general plays has been good scoring goals is what strikers are measured on, and Cole has not produced the goods.

The return to fitness of Hakan Sukur from a broken leg has certainly given Rovers a lift, but for this match he saw little of the ball and when he did was surrounded by several Bolton players.

In the opening two minutes, Rovers created two good chances but failed to put the ball away, one a simple header from an unmarked Andy Cole almost an exact replica of the miss at home to Charlton, only a few games ago.

From then onwards the rest of the first half was Bolton's as they grew in strength the more the game wore on.

Neither side were able to take their chances, and free-kicks and corners were wasted, having said all this it wasnt the worst game I have seen this season, at least there were chances created. In the second half Rovers took control until three quarters way through were Bolton had another good spell.

Damien Duff went down in the penalty area, the referee brandished the yellow card deciding on a dive. Ivan Campo upset the Rovers fans early on going to ground very easily, and was booked for dissent.

Okacha as always was dangerous throughout, and Djorkaeff also had his moments. The Bolton side played a good controlled game, showing good organisation. The referee seemed to let everything go, and infuriated both sets of supporters throughout.
