| YMCA B 7-9 Livesey Andy S/O Chris 3 Andy Those dirty bast***s did it to us again, yet we were the side who finished a man down. Early in the second half, little man Andy was sent from the field of play as ridiculous tackles flew in left right and centre. Though maybe his reaction was SLIGHTLY over the top, as the referee DRAGGED him by the scruff of the neck from the field of play. Anyone who expected that tempers would be rested and relaxed was maybe living on another planet. For the first time this season the Livesy "gentlemen" had a full strength team. Peter, still on the sidelines, picked up on the fact that every time that the Bullets come up against Livesey (or any other team for that matter) they have their full team. The harsh foul disgusting language and behaviour of the Livesey players was intolerable, the Bullets goalie making his feelings clear, bellowing the comment that the Livesey players should "grow up" after disgusting comments by the Craig Hignett lookey-likey who's "If you like we'll beat you off the pitch as well as on it". Anyway, on with the performance of the players who were on the pitch and TRYING to play football in that mosh pit. Chris was in outstanding form, getting the Bullets back into the game after going 2-0 down. He scored two beautiful goals and though the reactions were not evident, but it was there and the Bullets knew they had a proud player who wears his heart on his sleeve. Very early on the Bullets lost Roddy in this game where they knew his presence would do them a world of good, and obviously was a big loss, as that is now two defenders out. The Bullets keeper in a rage, was called into action more than on the odd occasion, sometimes coming up trumps, others crumbling under the pressure. It got to the point were two late goals (and other mistakes) could have personally cost the Bullets defeat as he brought down the charging striker, was once beaten on his near post by the "back for the first time this season" number 5, and allowed the ball to role underneath him for another. The Bullets were still fighting back even a man down and the heart was unbelievable. They simply didnt desrve to lose, purely on Chris' performance alone, sorry we let you down Chris. John?, Andy 4, Pressy 5, Ellis 5, Roddy 5(inj), Chris 10. |
