| A native new yorker, Prince Elite grew up in the South Bronx. He uses his life to bring the gospel to the street through Holy Hip Hop. Prince Elite is the epiphany of God's miracle and might. God called him into ministry in spite of people's opinion that he would never aspire to much. God is using Prince Elite to inspire people to change their lives. Being a poor inner city youth and the second oldest of five caused unbearable grief at times, but God chose to sustain him for such a time as this. He was raised in a strict Hispanic Pentecostal religion by his father, a stern disciplinarian, who served overseas as a Reverend Missionary and by his mother who struggles with severe mental health issues. The nightly gunshots, cries, screams, yelling, cursing, crime, and siren sounds of his neighborhood seemed to intensify when his dad was away causing Prince Elite to stay awake all night out of fear. Going to school exhausted, teachers labeled him as "slow and stupid". He was constantly shifted and shuffled around special education classes in the public school system. No one wanted to deal with this "problem child". Unstable home life further caused behavioral and disciplinary issues at home, church, and school and resulted in Prince Elite becoming his father's sidekick in effort to keep him out of trouble. He watched his dad become the owner and operator of a local recording and broadcasting studio for the Hispanic Christian Community. At the age of 14, his life was shattered when his father died unexpectedly. He dropped out of school to help support his family but could not make ends meet. Losing everything they had, they were forced to move to Camdem, NJ to live in his uncle's junkyard. A lack of education and work experience kept Prince Elite from finding employment and he eventually found himself dealing drugs. At times, he used them in an attempt to fill his void and dull his pain. A time came where he ran away from NJ back to NYC for refuge. Looking for his brother, he attended his brother's church where he met a girl that he immediately fell in love with. His love for her caused a change in his life. He began to love himself and renew his faith and trust in Christ. Their long distance relationship caused him to keep in touch by writing letters and simultaneously listening to "The Quiet Storm" every night on the radio. His passion for music heightened as he realized songs were emotions told in a story that carried a pattern of rhyme, beat, and rhythm. He began to use these letters as an outlet that helped him feel understood. His love for music grew and he began to pursue a career as a DJ when he moved back to NY. As he invested into his dream, God began dealing with his heart. Internal conflict built in his soul because most rap songs were contrary to the life he was trying to live. Prince Elite began paraphrasing the message of sermons he heard that touched his heart on the instrumental sides of the same records that he felt he shouldn't listen to. Questioning his purpose and destiny, Prince Elite began to seek the face of God for His will in his life. God revealed a vision of a music ministry. Backsliding and lukewarmness allowed this vision to lie dormant for several years. However, the untimely death of his mother-in-law sparked a rededication to Christ and a seriousness to serve God with a pure heart. This spark ignited a roaring fire for God. The devil thought he killed his spirit and had him defeated but his lyrics blaze hotter and stronger than ever before. Without a doubt, Prince Elite knows that his time is now for the end is near. His heart is burdened for youth outreach. His lyrics portray a living testimony to the lost that there is hope! His zeal resides in the fact that Christ is the only true living risen Messiah and the lifter of his head! As David stepped to Goliath with a sllingshot and a few stones, Prince Elite is bold enough to step to Satan and snatch all that was stolen with a mic and lyrics. His lyrics may stir controversy but not confusion for Prince Elite's message is clear... "CHRIST is the only way OUT!". NOW THAT'S WHAT'S UP!!!!!!! |

| Prince Elite is married and has three daughters. He is presently an active member of the Carpenter's Shop Church where he serves as a student pastor of the Generation NEXT "U"th Ministries, and percussionist.
