Coping with Combination Skin

Are your nose and chin oily, appear shiny and break out frequently? Plus, are the sides of your forehead and cheeks dry, rough or flaky?

If you have this condition, then you have what is termed as "combination skin" where the center of your face contains more oil glands or an oily "T zone" on the forehead, nose and chin.

Here are some tips on how to cope with combination skin:

  Use gentle products, such as those made for dry, sensitive skin. However, if you wish to use stronger measures on the oily areas, apply them directly on these oily spots and keep them away from your dry skin.

  Avoid rubbing your skin too vigorously with washcloths, scrubs and pads. Doing so can pull and stretch your skin, leaving it red, rough and irritated.

To prevent acne flare-ups and breakouts, and minimize large pores around the forehead, nose and chin area, we recommend following the Godiva Anti-Blemish regimen as follows:

  Wash with Godiva Anti-Blemish Transparent Soap to dissolve excess oil. Rinse well, preferably with warm water.

  After cleansing, moisten cotton pad with Godiva Anti-Blemish Astringent. Stroke all over forehead, nose and chin.

  Apply Godiva Anti-Blemish Cream over acne-prone areas and spot apply over acne scars.
