Q.
Dear Skin Care Counselor,
I have a 9 year old daughter
who has an inborn pigmentation on her upper right cheek. It seems that its
getting darker and darker over the years.
Is your
product safe even for children her age? Which product would you recommend?
--Zabeth, Philippines
A.
Dear Zabeth,
Godiva
Natural Skin Care products are SAFE for children as young as 6 years old. We
suggest you try
Godiva Licorice Whitening Cream. SPOT APPLY twice daily on the
pigmentation.
Godiva Licorice Whitening Cream
contains glabridin from
Licorice extract.
It whitens by suppressing the formation of melanin, the pigment responsible for
skin discoloration. Over time, the old layer of the pigmented skin is replaced
by whiter, creamier skin.
However, since her pigmentation is inborn, we cannot assure you of the result.
Take note that most pigmentation are aggravated by exposure to sunlight. We
therefore recommend DAILY use of
Godiva Green Tea Sunblock Cream SPF 15
PA++, not
only on the pigmented part but all over the face.
Godiva Green Tea Sunblock Cream
SPF 15 PA++
offers broad-spectrum protection, thus your child can get full protection from
ALL harmful UV rays, plus the ability to resist sun damage with powerful,
natural green tea antioxidants. It also
has a high 8% zinc oxide (Z-block) content and 4% Octyl
Methoxy Cinnamate (OMC).
Zinc oxide
is natures original sunblock and the ONLY
sunscreen that works throughout the UV spectrum. It is a safer and more
effective alternative to chemical sunscreens.
Whatever the result, daily application of Godiva Green
Tea Sunblock Cream will be the best beauty regimen shell appreciate
forever.
Yours truly,
Skin Care Counselor

Be a
Sleeping Beauty
Have
people ever commented on how you look in the morning, saying you woke up on the
wrong side of the bed? Thats because a poor nights sleep has a tremendous
effect on our appearance. Lack of sleep can make your skin looking dull, pasty
or blotchy and oftentimes leave dark or puffy undereye circles.
Night
creams and lotions can improve the condition of your skin while you sleep. But
its still important to always get a good nights sleep. The primary function of
sleep is to help your body renew itself, and to repair damage caused by normal
biochemical and physiological processes, which occur while you are awake.
If you are
having trouble sleeping, here are a few tips for you to get your much-needed
beauty sleep:
● Smoking
Smoking
just before bedtime can affect sleep patterns, as well as giving up smoking.
● Alcohol and caffeine
Drinking
too much can cause you to wake early or wake throughout the night. The same rule
also applies with too much caffeine during the day.
● Physical exercise
Vigorous
activity late in the evening should be avoided as it can leave you with too much
energy and keep you from falling asleep.
● Outdoor noise
Noisy
neighborhood cats? If noise keeps you awake all night, you might consider
installing double windows or putting heavier curtains to block off sound.
Try these
tips so you can manage a few blinks and get your beauty sleep. Along with your
nighttime ritual of applying
Godiva
Natural Skin Care products, your skin would definitely look and
feel better in the morning.

WORD UP!
Hydroquinone
("hI-drO-kwi-'nOn,
-'kwi-"nOn) n. a harmful compound which lightens skin by suppressing
the formation of melanin within new cells. Melanin is the component that shield
our skin from harmful effects of the suns UV rays. Prolonged use of
hydroquinone can lead to
irreversible
effects like dark patches on the skin and hyperpigmentation
(increase in pigment production).
