Q.
Dear Skin Care Counselor,
If
I were to order the
Godiva Licorice Pressed Powder Compact,
which one should I purchase? Right now, I am of a slightly darkish Indian skin
tone.
I don't know
how the lightning system will change my color shade, but which powder color
would you recommend?
Thank you very
much for your time. I hope to hear from you soon.
--Kavita, Florida, USA
A. Dear
Kavita,
Godiva
Licorice works by suppressing the formation of melanin in our skin, leading
to fairer and whiter skin overtime. Unlike skin bleaching agents, it does not
lessen or decrease the melanin which causes skin discolorations or
hyperpigmentations as a long-term side-effect.
Here is a guide to help you
determine the
Godiva Licorice Pressed Powder shade most
suitable for your type of skin:
Fair shade - most ideal
for light skinned individuals (think Caucasians) with pink undertone
Natural
shade - best for brown Asians having yellow undertone
White shade - has no
colorant and is just like baby powder
To be on the safe side, if you
are not sure which of the shades is right for you, you can always opt for the
Nude shade, which fits all individuals with white, brown or dark skin
coloration.
Yours truly,
Skin Care Counselor

Unscented
versus Fragrance-free
When looking for products with the least potential
to irritate your skin or cause allergic reactions, stick with fragrance-free.
The word unscented on a label merely means that the product has no
detectable scent, but that may be the result of a masking fragrance. To be extra
careful, read the list of ingredients.
