Is your interest in new ideas an effort to keep worshippers and attract new ones? They didn't have trouble attracting new people in the first century. Few visitors went away lonely.
Strangely, through the centuries since then, every time there were changes from the way people worshipped in the first century, many people who protested to the changes paid with their lives ~ hundreds of thousands of them. So these changes we take for granted today did not come about without bloodshed.
Many of the familiar hymns we sing today were a result of the persecution toward those who objected to the changes. Even some of the Christmas Carols ~ the ones emphasizing peace on earth where there is no peace ~ express this. Many were written from prison just before the author was sent to his death.
This presentation concludes with a call to unity. Worshipping alike should not be that hard.
