| The Bible is actually 66 small books assembled together into one large volume. Instead of telling you what is in the Bible, you will be able to discover the Bible for yourself by looking up passages for yourself. Below are listed all 66 books of the Bible in alphabetic order. Look in the Table of Contents of your personal Bible and write below the page number where each book begins. (The Catholic Bible sometimes has slightly different translations; those are in parentheses.) Then keep this sheet to help you more quickly find Bible passages for your lessons. Start now with Genesis, find it on the list below, and write the page number it begins on in your Bible.. |

| You may wish to also put easy-to-see tabs throughout your Bible indicating the beginning of each book. You can obtained them at any Christian bookstore, or your regular bookstore may also have them. The first number in citations is always the chapter number, and the second number is always the sentence/verse number. For example, Joshua 23:6 means the book of Joshua, chapter 23, and the 6th sentence/verse. Occasionally there will be an "a" or "b" attached to the sentence/verse number. That simply means it is the first half or last half of the sentence/verse. The questions in these lessons are not to try to trick you up. They are designed to just help you read the Bible with a little better understanding of the theme. Therefore, we do not grade them. However, if you have questions about any of your lessons, or any other topic, you are welcome to join the Godfind discussion group at: [email protected]. |
