God Keeps His Promises

SEVEN BOWLS OF PUNISHMENT

Chapter 16
Jesus' Crucifixion

Bowls is also translated vials.
God has punished in his winepress of wrath.
Now he pours out the contents of the vials/bowls.

(See Hosea 5:10, Isaiah 52:22)
These 7 vials/bowls are identical with the 7 plagues
16:2 SEAL 7, TRUMPET 7, PLAGUE/BOWL #1:
Jesus took our punishment for our sins. He begged not to have to drink this ____________________ (Mark 14:26).
The sores on our flesh were put on Jesus when he endured what two things (Mark 15:15, 24)? _____________________________ and _____________________________
16:3-4 SEAL 7, TRUMPET 7, PLAGUES/BOWLS #2 & 3:
What was shed by Jesus on the cross? ____________________
16: 8, 10 SEAL 7, TRUMPET 7, PLAGUE/BOWL # 4 & 5:
What was in the sky the first three hours of Jesus' crucifixion, then the second three hours (Mark 15:25, 33)? ____________________________ and ________________________.
16:12-14 SEAL 7, TRUMPET 7, PLAGUE/BOWL #6:
Jesus faced three evil spirits (3 = divinity; thus, evil divinities) who perform what? ___________________ ____________________. On the cross, Jesus was challenged to float down from the cross by those who passed by, the religious leaders, and even the other thieves (Mark 15:29-32). If he had, this would have been a m_________________, but instigated by Satan and not God.
16:16 Ar-Mageddon is a Greek variation of the Hebrew Megiddo. Here King David defeated Hadad, a king of Edom. Here, later, the godly king of Judah ~ Josiah ~ was killed by an Egyptian king getting ready to assist the Assyrian king (II Kings 23:29-30), and where still later the Pharaoh was defeated by the king of Babylon (Jeremiah 46:2). Hence, the battle ground of kings (in this case Jesus claiming to be king and Satan claiming to be king).
Zechariah predicted regarding the crucifixion: "They will look on me, the one they have __________________, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child....firstborn son....like the weeping....in the plain of Megiddo" (Zechariah 12:10-11).
16:17 SEAL 7, TRUMPET 7, PLAGUE/BOWL 7: Finally!
What did Jesus say just before he died (John 19:30)? __________________________________
16:18 What happened when Jesus died (Matthew 27:50-51)? _________________________
Triumph at Last!
Chapter 17
False Religions Now Fall
17:1 Spiritual prostitutes were people who did what (see Hosea 4:12)? _______________________ _________________________
17:3, 5 Remember the beast with ten horns, sometimes called Satan and sometimes called Rome? Now it is identified with what kingdom? __________________
17:4 Since the woman riding the beast is a prostitute in the religious sense and the beast represents people in kingdoms that are against God, we see paganism riding on the back of earthly kingdoms. (The rest of this verse is interpreted in Daniel.)
17:18 The woman is the great "city" that rules over the kings ~ Babylon (see 16:19) ~ paganism.
Chapter 18
Evil Will Now Fall
18:1-24 God's kingdom will overcome all kingdoms of the world, God's wealth will overcome all wealth in the world, and God's religion will overcome all paganism of the world, even after being given time to repent during the warning of the six trumpets (Revelation 9:13 and 20)
18:24 The kingdoms of the world are the ones who spilled the blood of prophets and saints. Who are saints (see II Corinthians 1:1)? _______________________________ So, tortured Christians, be patient. Your torturers will experience a boomerang onto themselves of what they do to you.
For accounts of these tortures, go here.
Chapter 19
The Church Can Now Begin
19:7 Who is the bride of Christ (Ephesians 5:28, 32)? _______________________
19:8 The bride is dressed in fine linen which stands for the _________________________ acts of the saints (Christians).
19:10 Are we to bow down before and worship angels? _________ Why? ______________________ ____________________________
19:11-13 What is the rider of the white horse called? ___________________________________
Relate this with John 14:6. Jesus is the ________________________________________________________. What is the rider?s name? _______________________________ Relate this with John 1:1, 14, 16. Who is the Word of God? _______________________________________
19:15 What is the sword that comes out of his mouth (Hebrews 4:12)? __________________________
19:16 Jesus' title, "King of Kings and Lord of Lords" was written on his thigh. Abraham, in Genesis 24:2-3 made his servant put his hand under his thigh and ___________________ by the Lord. Jacob/Israel, in Genesis 47:29, made his son Joseph put his hand under his thigh and ________________________ he would show kindness. Therefore, Jesus' title on his thigh is his ________________________ to be faithful and true to us.
