HARD QUESTIONS YOU HAVE ASKED

"What things are sin?"
There are 788 verses in the Bible on sin. Plus there are innumerable verses that say, "Do not do this," or "Do do that" which don't use the word sin, but that's what is being referring to. There are even passages where we are told what to do by example, such as Jesus' baptism. Actually you may be surprised to know that most sins are of attitude.
DEFINITION: The word sin is best described by (1) the Hebrew word "pesha" which means "trespass" or go beyond where we're not supposed to be (bad committed); (2) the Hebrew word "chata" which means to "miss the mark" or fall short (good omitted). Sin, therefore, is whatever we do that God does not do, and that will eventually hurt us.
