August 19, 2007. A note about the Yahoo home page.

I have been using Yahoo for many many years for news, stock watching, email, weather, and Yellow pages. I read this article and then I looked at the Yahoo main page and I noticed that yahoo has made some big changes since the article was written 2 years ago. At about the same time that article was written I remember looking for ways to either change the home page for find something else because it was too distracting and I couldn't find what needed. I ended up staying because nothing else is as good as Yahoo. I still see 3 major changes that I think they need to continue to work on.

1. Get rid of some of the ads and services. There is still too much competing information that keeps me from doing what I need to do.

2. Spread out the important services. I have a page at my.yahoo.com that is way to small, I want the more important content to be expanded.

3. I don't know if its possible, but it would be nice if Yahoo went with the current trend and get rid of the scroll bars. It get's a little confusing to keep up with their web page after the first page. (Even the first page is a little overwhelming.)
