The Bateman has recieved its new CO, Captain Ivellios Liadon. Sensors indicate a huge Artifact 16 hours away. Head of Sciences, Warrant Officer Daar, has sent two shuttles to conduct more complete scans of the object. The scans that were sent back to the Bateman showed tiny particles of debris from something the Artifact had collided with. The debris and Artifact are now on a collision course with the Bateman. The Artifact has shown some sign of life, plus some possible entry points. The Bateman Science Team is now trying to achive contact with whatever is controling the Artifact. The Marines are now getting ready for an assault, if contact fails. Contact has not been established, and the Artifact fired upon the Bateman's gunstars as they were clearing the debris. The Marines have now broken through the hull and entered the Artifact's interior.
The Artifact has begun a space battle with the Bateman.
