Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu are girls of different schools (?) in Tokyo. During a trip to Tokyo Tower, they are lead by a mysterious girl and pulled into the world of Cephiro.
A priest named Zagato explains that they have been chosen by the Pillar, Princess Emeraude, to become the Magic Knights that are destined to save the world. The Pillar has been kidnaped, and it's the Magic Knight's job to make sure she is returned safely.
With their combined powers and strengths, they must battle their way with swords and magic, in order to obtain the Pillar.
