Shindou Shuichi is part of a band called "Bad Luck." Ironically enough, their band has a lot of bad luck, because they can't make good lyrics or music that can fit together.
While writing some lyrics, Shuichi has them blown away while walking down the street. Eiei Yuki finds the lyrics, reads them, and basically tells Shuichi that it sucks. Despite the horrible comments, Shuichi can't seem to forget Yuki. Next time he sees Yuki, Shuichi throws himself in front of Yuki's car, only to have his lyrics called trash again. Shuichi and Yuki's meeting leads them into a relationship of love, darkness, and confusion.
Yes, both Shuichi and Yuki are gay with one another, but their love life AND the band is what makes up the story, not including Yuki's dark past. This type of anime is usually enjoyed by girls.
