Initiation
Sitting outside alone
In the dark
My mind starts to wonder
To the years that have passed

And suddenly I realise
Something that had never been done
I had never been initiated
Into the Ancient Craft

In the days which followed
My emotions began to increase
As I sent my senses out
I discovered what I must do

I have to initiate myself
As myself is all I have
Down this lonely path

Finally the night comes
When I know it is time
Being clad to the sky
I take a step towards the altar

Surrounded by the soft
Luminious candle light
I take a deep breath in
And inhale the lit incense

Going down on my knee's
I shut my eyes
Visualising a circle
Which will keep be protected

A warmth floods through
My whole entire body
As I pick up the wand
And hold it to my heart

When I say the incantations
I know they have heard
The teachers of us all
Artemis, Kali and Hectate

For they are there with me
And have never left my side
I am a part of them
And them a part of me
