Love Doesn't Live Here Anymore

At my place of residence,
there lived a girl
but love doesnt live there anymore
because it moved out
the day you moved in

I guess it knew
that the both of you
could not occupy
the same home
at the same time

So love packed its bags
And moved on
Which is would I
should have done

But blinded by your smile
and conned by your eyes
I fell into an abyss
which I cannot climb out

I climb my way up
and you throw the dirt
into this grave
to hold me here,
forever

But I must leave
for a home without love
is not a home at all
nor is my heart
left empty and shattered
by your path

I will not lie
It hurts to move forward
because it means leaving
you behind
But I must join love again
because it doesnt live
here anymore

It moved out the day
you moved in
If only Id been so wise
So many wasted voices
on arguing a point
youd never see
because you werent too interested
in pleasing me

So many wasted tears
Fighting a battle
that had long been lost
in hopes to see the white flag
waving from your hand
but instead
you give me more scars
to add to the collection

My bags are packed
Im ready to go
Because as you can see
love doesnt live here anymore
and if it did
its a damn shame
because in a minute
it will go up in flames

If love lived here
then why does the rain
drip slowly down my face
if it lived here
then why does my heart
cry out in vain
if it lived here
then why am I
a shadow of my former self

Love doesnt live here anymore
and I dont either
I am going to find it
so I have no need
to be here anymore
I have no idea what this is
that lives here
but it damn sure aint love
because love dont live here anymore
