Touched

Your gentile hands caress my face
Your arms embrace my body
Within your world
I feel safe and protected

Your lips softly pressed
against my forehand
your fingers wipe away
all my tears

But then it seems
that all my tears
come from
you

Once a love
I cherished so true
once a man
I loved so dearly

Touched me
but his hand
was not so soft
this time around

You claim it was a mistake
that I hit the ground
when the only mistake
was in loving you

How could a touch
so sweet and innocent
suddenly turn
into a touch like this...
