Most people think that this work has a sexual overture, but it was not designed for that purpose. It symbolizes the strength that women sometimes need from men to be held up and supported. This was designed to be 3 part series, in which there would also be a print showing the strength needed by men from women, and a print of both male & female intertwined, relying on one another equally. Note that this is not the original print but a copy I did for someone else, but the original didn't scan as well (the colors were different), so you'll just have to enjoy this one. |
