My first year here, we went to Schooner Days. Nils won a gold-fish. So we bought an aquarium and kept him in there. He lived for about a month. When he died, we went and bought a betta. He was beautiful. He lived for only a week or two. When he died, we bought another one. We named him Murphy. He lived for a long time (at least for a fish). He finally died. We didn't get another one for a year. Suddenly I remembered this, and l bought him another one for his birthday. He named him Mike. He got sick, and soon died. We bought another one and named him Ben. He too, got sick and died. But in August (2001) Nils was payed to take care of our neighbors betta, Buttmunch, for a week. The owner was going into college and wouldn't be able to take care of him anymore. So she offered Buttmunch to Nils. He took him of course, and he lived for about a year. But he soon died. We have bettas now.
