Author's note: This is in dedication to a very good friend of mine! You'll find out her first name in the ramble. I'm not giving her full name out or where she lives or how to contact her. That's confidential!
(Nexus is sitting on a couch looking down on a picture of a woman that he knew. He sighed with discomfort as Aeris, Sephiroth, Rufus, and Kadaj walked in.)
Rufus: Hey, Nexus. Why are you just sitting there, looking at some old picture?
Nexus: . . . .
Kadaj: Hey, come on! You have to at least say something! *grabs the picture from Nexus without any struggle from Nexus and looks at the picture* It's just some woman. Possibly . . . his Kaa- san?
Aeris: Oh, stop it, Kadaj! You know that can't be his mother! She looks way too young!
Nexus: Please . . . if you guys could just leave me alone for a while, I'd appreciate it . . .
Sephiroth: *takes the picture from Kadaj* Who is she then? His girlfriend?
Nexus: She's my Ex-Girlfriend . . . she and I separated a few months ago and I haven't talked to her since.
Aeris: *looks at the picture* She's very pretty. Why did you two break up?
Nexus: That's none of your concern. But I bet you all would have liked her. Whenever she dressed like you, Aeris, she looked exactly like you!
Sephiroth: Yea, that's what we need, another Aeris in the group. I vote that we ignore Nexus' problem and move on with our lives! Who's with me?
Aeris: THAT'S NOT NICE!!!! *smacks him*
Nexus: Please, you guys, just leave me alone at the moment.
(Aeris, Sephiroth, Rufus, and Kadaj leave the room as instructed and begin to talk amongst themselves.)
Aeris: I think we should help him out with this woman. He seems to have really liked her.
Rufus: Maybe he'll pay us if we all bring her here!
Sephiroth: Get real, you money-hungry freak! He won't pay us! He doesn't have any money! Well, except for the money to fix up this place. I may not like him all too much, but hey, we could bring her here to make him happy. It's just not the same to pick on him when he's depressed.
Aeris: Wow, Sephiroth, for a second there, I thought you actually cared for Nexus!
Sephiroth: Get real, woman! I don't care for anyone but myself!
Aeris: Awww, but what about me? You care about me, don't you?
Sephiroth: . . . *shrugs*
Aeris: Well FINE then! Be that way!
Kadaj: Come on, you two! Let's focus on the main objective here! First off, if we really want to find this girl, where are we gonna start looking? We don't even know where she lives!
Rufus: Oh yea, totally forgot about that! And we don't even know her name!
Aeris: We need someone to ask Nexus stuff about this woman. But who would be stupid enough to do that?
Everyone: Hmmm . . .
Reno: *walks by everyone* Hey, guys! What's happenin'?
Everyone but Reno: *looks at eachother and grins evilly, then looks back at Reno*
Reno: *sweatdrop* Why are you all looking at me like that?
Aeris: Reno, would you do us a tiny favor?
Reno: What kind of favor?
Kadaj: We need you to interrogate the being of Nexus into informing us of another being of which we know not!
Reno: *brain short-circuits*
Sephiroth: In other words, ask Nexus about some chick!
Reno: OH! Why didn't you just say that, Kadaj?!
Kadaj: Cause it's fun to mess with your mind!
Reno: Well anyway, I'll do it. This seems interesting. *walks into the room where Nexus is sitting.*
Rufus: . . . He's gonna screw everything up, isn't he?
Everyone but Rufus: *sadly nods*
Reno: *sits next to Nexus* Yo, buddy! Why you lookin' so down in the dumps, eh?
Nexus: *sigh* Hi, Reno. What do you want?
Reno: Just wondering why you're so depressed, yo. Let me guess, it's a girl, isn't it?
Nexus: Yea . . . how'd you know?
Reno: Your ol' buddy, Reno, has a keen eye on these things! So, what's her name?
Nexus: *looks questioningly at Reno* . . . Abra.
Reno: That's a nice name! So . . . tell me about her. Is she nice? Is she hot?
Nexus: Well . . . she's the hottest woman I've ever seen! She's nice, smart, fun to talk to . . .
Reno: *fell asleep listening to Nexus*
Nexus: . . . and you're no help at all, RENO!!!
Reno: Oh, sorry! But uh . . . where does she
live? Nexus: I'm not telling that to you guys!
Reno: Ok, fine. Well, I've gotten enough, I
think. Catch ya later, yo! *leaves the room* Nexus: *sweatdrop* What did he mean by
"enough"? Reno: Ok, guys. All I got out of him was that
her name is Abra. Aeris: Abra, huh? That's a nice name. Where does
she live? Reno: I couldn't get that information out of
him. Tried, but couldn't. Kadaj: Well, I could have Yazoo and Loz go look
around to see if they can find any information on this "Abra" woman.
*walks away getting out the phone* Rufus: I'll do the same, hiring investigators to
find her. I'm sure it won't be that tough. *also walks off, taking out
his phone* Sephiroth: For the love of Jenova, why are you
all that interested in finding her?! You only have a picture of her and
her name! It's not gonna be easy at all if we have no clue where she
lives! Aeris: Have faith, Sephy! I'm sure we'll find
her if we look hard! And we're doing this to help Nexus! Sephiroth: I know you want to help Nexus, but
think about it! If they broke up a while ago, don't you think it would be
painful for them both to see each other again?! Aeris: . . . I never thought of it that way . .
. Sephiroth: I may be evil, but I'm not totally
heartless! Sora: *immediately runs in carrying the
Keyblade* Did I hear "Heartless"?!?! Sephiroth: Sora, get a life! You can't continue
to fight Heartless for the rest of your life! And I said I'm not "totally
heartless"! I never said there were any around here!!! Aeris: Don't worry about him, Sora. We're all
just trying to find some girl for Nexus. But all we have is her name and
a picture of her. We have no other leads at the moment. Reno: Hey, let's see that picture! *takes it
from Sephiroth and looks at it* Hey, not half bad! But you know? She
looks somewhat familiar . . . Aeris: Nexus said that when she dressed up like
me, she looked exactly like me! Reno: That's probably how she looks familiar.
*sigh* I thought maybe I've seen her somewhere before . . . Sora: *takes the picture from Reno* Hmmm . . .
you know, I think I really have seen her before. Sephiroth: Whatchu talkin' 'bout, Sora?!
Sora: Well . . . I'm just saying I think I've
seen her somewhere. I know I've never actually met her. Sephiroth: Sora, you said the same thing about
Roxas when you saw him in a photograph. I think you're just going out of
your mind! Sora: No, really. I think I've seen her
before. Aeris: You have? Do you remember where?
Sora: Unfortunately, I don't remember where.
I'll have to think about where I've seen her. Cause I know I
have. Kadaj: *comes back to the others* Okay, both
Yazoo and Loz will be out asking around if anyone knows an "Abra". They
don't think it will be too hard to get some information about
her. Rufus: *also comes back* Ok, the team of
investigators will be on the lookout for her. I've given them enough of a
description so they know who they're looking for. Sephiroth: *sigh* I still think it's a waste of
our time trying to find her! Aeris: Sephy! You know it isn't a waste of time
trying to help a friend out! We should get out there and look too! I'm
sure someone out there knows something about her! Karah: *suddenly walks by* Hey you guys! What
are you all up to? Rufus: We're trying to find this one girl that
Nexus knows, this being his ex-girlfriend. We just don't know where to
look first off. Karah: Well, you all should probably look in his
address book. I'm sure there's something in that! Sephiroth: Why didn't I think of that?! Oh,
that's right! He's locked it up in a vault that no one else can access
except him! Karah: Then why don't you ask some of his other
friends? They have to know something! Like Gabe, or maybe Sara, Calla,
Beth. One of them probably has some information. Rufus: Don't you know anything about this "Abra"
girl? Karah: Sadly, no, I don't. But why don't you ask
his other friends? Sephiroth: Ok, I'll go ask Gabe. Aeris, you go
ask Sara if she knows anything. And Rufus and Kadaj, you go off and ask
Calla and Beth. Got it? Rufus: Why do Kadaj and I have to go to Calla
and Beth?! They're way to perky for us to handle! Sephiroth: Which is why I'm sending you there!
Cause I'm evil that way! Okay everyone! Let's move! (And so, they all split up to go ask they're
assigned people about Abra. We start off with Sephiroth and Gabe.)
Gabe: *sitting in his room when he hears a knock
on the door* Coming! *opens the door* Oh, hey Sephiroth! Sephiroth: Yea, hi. Listen, I need you to tell
me all that you know of this one girl that Nexus knows. Gabe: What girl? Sephiroth: Do you know anything about a girl
named "Abra"? Gabe: Hmm . . . all I know is that she's roughly
3 years older than he is and that they've known each other for almost 4
years. She dumped him a while ago, for what reason, I have no
clue. Sephiroth: . . . that's it? That's the best you
got?! Gabe: He really didn't talk to me a whole lot
about her. Sorry. Sephiroth: Some help you are! I'm outta here!
*leaves* (We now leave Sephiroth and Gabe then move on
to Aeris and Sara.) Aeris: Sara, you've been friends with Nexus for
a while, haven't you? Sara: We've been friends for about 2 years! Why
do you ask? Aeris: Well, we're trying to get as much
information on this girl, Abra. Do you know anything about her?
Sara: Abra? I know she's really into Anime and
Video Games. I also know it took 2 years for Abra to finally get Nexus to
ask her out! He's such a dumbass! Aeris: I see . . . wait, it took him 2 years to
just ask her out?! *laughs* Sara: Yea, I know! It's funny, huh? Anyway, I
also know that she broke up with him because she couldn't choose between
him and some other guy. It really broke his heart. He just wanted her to
be happy. As long as she's happy, he was happy. That's all I
know. Aeris: Wow, she couldn't decide between him and
some other guy? That must have been tough on him. Sara: He saw it as his own fault. But he knew
that if she was happy with him, he was happy too. But the unfortunate
thing is that they haven't talked to each other since they broke up. I
think it was because the guy she was with wouldn't let her talk to
him. Aeris: That's sad. I feel sorry for the both of
them. I mean, they may not have been together anymore, but the least they
could do is still be friends. I can't believe that the other guy wouldn't
let her talk to him! Sara: I know, sad, isn't it? Aeris: Well, I think I got enough information.
Thanks! (We again leave Aeris and Sara, now off to
Rufus, Kadaj, Calla, and Beth) Rufus: I hate Sephiroth! He just HAD to send us
here! Kadaj: I know. Sephiroth can be a real prick at
times. Rufus: So, what do you think they'll do to us?
Kadaj: I dunno. I just know that they are way
too hyper. (The door opens and Calla and Beth appear at
the door) Calla: Well, howdy, boys! Whatchu doin'?
Rufus: *gulp* Well . . . we need some
information. Beth: You hear that, Calla? They need some
information from us! Calla: I know! Calla and Beth: *laugh hysterically* Rufus and Kadaj: *sweatdrop* Calla: Well? What kind of information do y'all
need? Kadaj: We need you to tell us everything you
know about an "Abra" that Nexus knows. Beth: You want us to tell you everything we know
of Abra? Rufus: Yes, we just said that! Calla: Don't take that tone with us! Or we'll
never give you what you want! Beth: Exactly. You gotta be nice to us!
Kadaj: Ok, fine. Will you please give us the
information we seek? Calla: No! You hurt our feelings!
Beth: You gotta do whatever we say! Then we'll
tell you! Rufus: Why don't I just pay you? Calla: We can't be bought! Kadaj: Please! We just need the information.
That's all! Beth: No! Do whatever we tell you, then you can
have the information! Rufus: Fine, what do we have to do? Calla: You have to talk to us for the rest of
your lives! Rufus: . . . how about we just let you live back
at the house? Beth: Hmm . . . I kinda like that idea! What
about you, Calla? Calla: I like that idea too! Kadaj: *whispers to Rufus* What are you doing?!
You know Nexus won't like that idea! Rufus: *whispers back* Exactly! Which is why
he'll probably send them to live with Hojo, Scarlet, and Heideggar!
Kadaj: Ohh! Ok! *looks back to Calla and Beth*
So, if we allow you to live back at the house, would you tell us what we
want to know? Calla: Fine! All I know is that she's from
here. *hands them an envelope with her location in it* I personally don't
like her because she always kept Nexus to herself! She would keep him on
the phone so we could never talk to him! Kadaj: Thanks! We really need this type of
information! Beth: No problem. Make sure to tell Nexus that
we're moving in! Rufus: Oh, don't worry! We will! *whispers to
Kadaj* We're not gonna tell him! Calla: Hey! I heard that! Rufus and Kadaj: *sweatdrops* . . . RUN!!! *they
run away* (So Rufus and Kadaj ran as fast as they could
away from the clutches of Calla and Beth. Sephiroth, Aeris, Rufus, and
Kadaj are now back at the house where they have exchanged information.)
Sephiroth: *laughs* IT TOOK HIM 2 YEARS TO ASK
HER OUT?!?! Aeris: Yea, according to Sara, it took him that
long to realize she was hitting on him. She also mentioned that she broke
up with Nexus because she couldn't choose between him and some other guy,
and it really broke Nexus' heart. Kadaj: Anyway, we should just go over to her
house and bring her here! What do you all think of that? Sephiroth: That won't work! I don't think she'll
come quietly! I say we go over there and kidnap her! Put her in a garbage
bag and -- Aeris: *bashes Sephiroth over the head
repeatedly with her staff* SHUT UP!!! Sephiroth: *sees little dancing chocobos
circling his head* Rufus: Sephiroth really shouldn't have said that
... (The door opens and Sora walks inside with
another person. Aeris, Sephiroth, Rufus, and Kadaj look at them)
Sora: Hi guys! How's the search coming along?
You find her location yet? Sephiroth: BUT MOMMY!! I DON'T WANT TO GO TO
SCHOOL TODAY!!! Aeris: The search is going well! We know where
she lives! We just gotta get her here! Sephiroth: I WANNA STAY HOME AND BAKE COOKIES
WITH YOU!!! Sora: Um . . . okay? Anyway, I'm going to take
this person to see Nexus. I'm sure this will cheer him up! Kadaj: Who is that? Sora: Oh yea! Lady and gentlemen! May I ppresent
to you: Abra! Everyone but Sora and Abra: WHAT?!?!?!
Abra: *waves* Hi everyone! Sephiroth: *wakes up from his unconsious-like
state* Huh?! How did she get here?! Sora: I remembered I saw her at a convention for
Anime. And she actually did give me her address and phone number, so I
called her number and told her I needed her to do me a slight
favor. Abra: So, where is he? Where's Nexus? Aeris: He's in the living room. *points to the
door* Abra: Thank you. *walks into the living room,
closing the door behind her* Kadaj: I think we should let those two be alone
for now . . . Nexus: *lying down on the couch
sleeping* Abra: *Walks over to him and lies down on top of
him* Hey, wake up, you sleepy head! Nexus: *wakes up slowly and sees her face in
his* Wha? Abra: Your friends went through a lot of trouble
to find me, even though Sora was the one to get me right away. Nexus: They did all that, just to make me feel
happy again? I feel loved . . . Abra: Well you should feel loved! *kisses him*
Because you know I love you. Nexus: *smiles* Hehe, thank you! And you know
what? Abra: No, what? *smiles back* Nexus: I'm gonna kick the ass of WHOEVER IS
EAVESDROPPING!!! Sephiroth: *falls through the door* OW!!
Nexus: YOU'RE ASS IS GRASS, PLANET BOY!!!! *runs
after Sephiroth* Sephiroth: HOLY SHIT!!! *runs* Abra: *laughs* Wow, I can tell I'm gonna have a
great time here . . . The End!
