What are the benefits of membership?

Opportunities to meet people with similar interests.
The Club organizes a variety of runs and social events. We meet twice a week for fun runs. In the winter, the Regina Fieldhouse provides shelter for interval workouts  and tempo runs on a 232 meter track oval. Otherwise, there are trails in the Wascana Park, the Seven Bridges Road in Lumsden, and hills in the Qu'Appelle Valley. Car pools help with out-of-town events. Afterwards, come bagels or Italian food, exchange of training advice, complaints about injuries, and endless planning for  races.

Participation in exclusive Club events.
RRRC organizes special events to emphasize socializing and participation. The seasons first are two outdoor fun runs: Echo Lake 20k and Regina-Lumsden 30k run. Both are informal with car pools and a post-run brunches. Then comes the first of several Handicap 5k runs where everyone has an equal chance of winning. The summer is greeted with the Summer Solstice Run & Family BBQ. Tranquillity of Wascana, good food, cold treats, and kids make this event the mellowest of all. In December we warm up with the RRRC Christmas Supper and Social. In the same month, the Shortest Day Run and the Midnight-to-Midnight Ultramarathon defy winter. Then there are trips to out-of-town events, club breakfasts, suppers, and parties. The motto is, "have fun!"

Discounts on running shoes and clothing.
You will receive price discounts at popular sports equipment stores in Regina.

Promotion of the road running lifestyle in your community.
Running benefits body and mind. Its positive influence spreads to other areas of our life - family, friends, and coworkers. By joining the RRRC, your running experience  will be enriched and you will encourage them to enjoy the pleasures of running.

Newsletter for the local road runners.
Four times a year, the RRRC newsletter, Roadworthy, is mailed to the members - free of charge. It features member-written articles about races, fitness, and training. It contains official race results, up-to-date list of members with addresses and telephone numbers, and calendar of forthcoming events.

Saskatchewan enjoys a vibrant running scene with more than three dozen road and cross-country events from February to December. Most include more than one distance, at least one on a certified course. Prominent are races in the TIMEX Canadian Road Race Series sanctioned by Sask Athletics and included in the Canadian Road Race Championship.  One of the TIMEX races, Flatlanders 10k, is organized and sponsored by the Regina Road Runners. A 5k fun run and half marathon are included in the event.
