Rare Treat Day 2001
The Rare Treat was the last
career race of popular New York-bred
mare Biogio's Rose. I went to
bid a fond farewell to this talented
race horse, as well as to see a couple
of my personal favorites.

Hail to Dixie my favorite little-known horse.
I've followed him since he was a two-year-old with
West Point Thoroughbreds, Inc. He's now a four-year-old.
The star of the show, Biogio's Rose.
She ended up running second to Pompeii.
Biogio's Rose exits the paddock at Aqueduct
for the final time in her career. She was bred to Lemon Drop Kid.
Mahwah, a New York-bred 3 year old,
spent some time at Fox Lair this winter. He's a really sweet colt.
Sweet, but silly!
Mahwah returns after his race.
