SITTING ON THE MOUNTAIN By The Goatherder ([email protected]) Sitting on a mountain, Mountain so high, looking at the sky and watching the clouds go by. Sitting here all alone, sitting here not wanting to go home. For many have written about Heaven and Hell, but I always wondered How they could tell? Here on the mountain just me all alone, Sitting on the mountain, not wanting to go home. For up here, when I say All alone, that is a misnomer, For in reality I have the world. Just sitting, relaxing, and watching the clouds drift by. I have the world here in my hand. Riches, such as diamonds and gems, Or money, or oil, just do not fit in. For sitting here on the mountain, watching the clouds whirl by, I am the richest man in all the land. For here on the mountain I have all in the world, With peace of mind And contentment untold. I do not need all of those tangible things, for sitting here on the mountain I am king of the realm. Solitude and peace of mind, they are two of my riches unfound. Yes! I am Just sitting here on the mountain, watching the clouds go by (tomWYO, Jan 13, 00) Index
